Hi all! I am posting this on behalf of an amazing friend and client, who's circumstances have changed and has come to the most difficult decision to rehome sweet wee Zehna. I have personally met Zehna (and groomed her), and I can honestly say she will make the most amazing companion. Here's a wee bit jer mun has written about Zehna. Please get in touch if you feel you are able to offer a new home for Zehna.
Unfortunately, due to huge changes in all of our circumstances, especially financially, we have made the extremely hard decision that we need to rehome Zehna. She needs someone who can financially care for her as she needs to be groomed every 6-8weeks, she is non shedding but grows her fur very fast. She is nervous and has used the same 2 groomers her whole life.
She is 5 years old, D.O.B 27-4-19. She was sold as a pure breed shih tzu but is definitely mixed breed. She's identical to a Tibetan spaniel. She can only eat Nutrience sub-zero chicken biscuits (which last her around 6weeks a bag) anything else upsets her tummy she has been on this food since coming off black hawk puppy food, wet food can be any grain free chicken. We often get primal when we are getting her biscuits from Animates, but the new grain free supermarket food seems to be fine with her too. She is spayed and microchipped(registered on the database) registered with Christchurch city council. Was up to date in all vet checks until last year, we haven't been to her most recent top up for kennel cough but she has never been house her at a kennel and we don't walk her much either cause our yard is so big so she can still get her daily zoomies.
She's fantastic with cats but must be an only dog. Would suit a house with no children or at least over 10 years old and good with animals and boundaries. I would prefer her homed with an older couple who are empty nesters wanting some love and entertainment again. Zehna is a part of our family and this is destroying us having to rehome her but she isn't getting her full potential with us and that isn't fair on her she needs someone around full time to sit on the couch with a blanket and snuggle. She's great in the car and fantastic left at home. Wont chew anything but her toys. You will need to come and meet Zehna to see how you bond with her before being able to apply to rehome her. Please message if you think your home is the perfect one for Zehna.
