Best two days training with friends and instructors, we were pushed further than what I thought we were capable of doing, but the difference was incredible. The canter still needs a lot of work before we can comfortably step up but it’s looking more achievable now. We rode our first level 3 test with never putting it all together and it didn’t completely fall apart!

Love the support and encouragement from like minded people have come away feeling empowered and ready to do the hard yards! Love my black Ferrari she keeps me humble.

We have settled into the new grazing quite well, Thea has only had a handful of rides under saddle in her life and after a tense first day she’s settling into ridden life quite well. I love this horses adaptability and willingnes to work she takes after her dad in loving routine and consistency. Always the first one at the gate calling out trying to put the halter on before I can even sort it out.

Give them the confidence, gentle guidance and safety and they will give you their everything.

The ferocious stallions preparing for battle over the fence but…. the food won they have their priorities!

Both of these boys were my first encounter with stallions I purchased Alfie as a weanling and the best thing I ever did was raise him up next to Floris and allowed them to socialise. With Floris’s calm demeanour they are now socialised and best mates, while I’m still very aware that they are stallions and would never put them in together it makes me feel better that they’re not isolated.

Both of these boys can see and be around each other they are also fenced around the arena so get to be around the girls when they come in for work. I find it creates a calm environment and the anxiety around horses doesn’t happen because it’s not something they haven’t seen before, don’t get me wrong here I am saying they are calm stallions but they know their jobs when it needs to be done!

Bittersweet final ride on the property today, with the house being sold we are currently in the stages of moving. It’s a surreal feeling that it’s now come time to move and it’s actually happening.

Feeling a little sad that the journey here has come to an end so many memories have been made at this property but am looking forward to the adventure ahead, one door closes and another one opens. The boys are still available for collection and everything will carry on as normal just at a new location! We are staying in the area.

Chose the windiest night to bring the baby horse back in for more training after a few months off, started off as a fire breathing dragon that was flying on the end of the lead rope to doing some good groundwork calmly unlike her roomie that decided that everything was out to eat her and the only speed was fast.

I love how trainable the Floris babies are. I do love working with this horse and am excited to start producing her more consistently over the summer.

Gallifray Saladin
(Alfie)
Dam- Paintball Ells Bells
Sire- Westmoreland Cracker Jack
NZGCA Registered and Approved

Alfie is approximately 13.2hh. Both parents are imports from overseas, the Dam from UK and the Sire from USA. Since then Paintball Ells Bells sold to Australia so Alfie is the only c**t of his bloodline in NZ.He is a black Tobiano, and will not produce a chestnut foal. He is really like a big pet with such a kind gentle soul, super easy to do anything with and takes everything in his stride. We have free jumped him and he has nice form over a jump. Alfie has been tested clear from Pssm1 and FIS he has also passed his vet check.

Alfie has produced some stunning foals that have all been coloured thus far and are proving to be fun, confident horses to work with, with his amazing temperament.

He will be available for AI only. His service fee is $800 plus collection costs and shipping.

The beautiful Alfie, for a horse that doesn’t wear a rug he scrubbed up well! 3 washes and many products later we found the white again.

Alfie hasn’t been out in a long time and he was the best behaved boy just taking it all in his stride. He’s matured into a gorgeous boy.

Alfie is available to breed to this season.

We attended the Stallion Parade yesterday in Cambridge with both boys. I’m so proud of how well behaved they were, they both traveled out together in the float and were led out in a big environment with a crowd of people, Just goes to show their amazing temperaments.

They both had lots of interest and were loved by many, thank you so much to mum and Josh for helping me and to the organisers of a very well run day, we had so much fun!

Both boys are available for breeding this season.
