Floris looking ever so elegant coming to get his feed this morning floating across the arena.

He’s feeling and looking amazing going into the breeding season, if you are wanting to breed a quality pure or part bred Friesian then he’s your guy.

What better way to spend a beautiful sunny day than to have scratches and be pampered, such a funny wee soul.

Third ride on baby Thea today with a saddle, she’s coming along nicely and is developing into a beautiful girl.

Been a few years since starting a young horse really makes you aware of what your doing in your body and highlights your flaws/imbalances lots to work on but it’s an exciting journey, especially to sit on something that I’ve bred and bought through.

Best day with my pony, friends and family. First time competing in quite some time and stepping up a level coming away with a win. Hard work starting to pay off so bring on the winter training, nice to feel like I’m able to get around a test without feeling like I’m holding on for my life. Yay Aurora!

Thank you to my supporters and the show sponsors for making this all happen 💕

Had the best lesson tonight with Jaime Amian who is a Spanish Grand Prix rider/trainer. His input has definitely changed up our riding game, Now to go away and consolidate the training. It’s never an easy journey these horses but it’s the small glimpses that make it all worth while. So happy with my pony 💕

Very proud breeder moment yesterday when Sebastian of SE took out champion Friesian at the keuring down in Palmerston North. Gaining his Star 2nd Premie award which is an honour.

This boy is very special to me he was my dream horse to breed before Aurora was even born and Floris had just arrived into the country 7 and a halfish years ago its such a long game.He has turned into a magnificent giant. So happy for his owner Vanessa and appreciate the people who have been in his life to get him to where he is today. I look forward to continue to watching him grow.

Now I’m thinking about how I can produce another one, since Aurora is now my ridden horse 🤔

Had an awesome start to the week yesterday, with the NZ keuring happening and the Friesian judges coming to hopefully renew Floris’s breeding permit (have to wait till they return home to see if it has been). He enjoyed the attention from his visitors and it was nice to see everyone again.

I’m so happy with where Floris is at in his body, he’s looking amazing and doing well in retirement from ridden life. One of the judges commented how he looked much better than the last time she saw him. It still breaks my heart he isn’t rideable but grateful to have him in the paddock still.

Thank you so much to NZFHS for all the organisation and work that has gone into making this all happen for our special horses.

The Friesian that started it all 9 years ago!

My beautiful Jojo that was taken far to soon at the young age of 4, she was such a character. This horse taught me a lot and without her I wouldn’t have the precious horses that I have in my life right now, thank you beautiful girl.

Fun day with the ponies!

I rode Thea for the very first time and that was a special moment for me being my first home bred. Still very early days as she has a lot of growing and developing to do, slow process but all worth it in the end.

Floris helped clean out his paddock and kept us company when riding in the paddock while Aurora and I had fun in the rain. Feeling like my cup is full spending the day with my ponies ❤️

Such a fun time out trekking with the bestie this morning. We conquered, we got lost, we found our way again, there were lots of tests of stranger danger objects, but most of all we had so much fun!

Fun morning out at the practice dressage day with Bill Noble doing the judging. Always lots of learning with this Ferrari of a horse, but so happy with the progress we have made.

We no longer have FXH bolt across the diagonal (well most the time anyway), nice to feel there is a little more control, which gives me the confidence to progress up a level whoop whoop 🙌

Thank you to the organisers for putting on a fun, low pressure day to be able to try new things.
