What a fight it's been over the last week.
I think any breeder can relate to feeling like you haven't got anymore to give, having a moment when you think I cant do this, then taking a deep breath and having a reset. Realizing you have this inner strength you didn't know you had. 🩷
We will literally move heaven and earth to save any of our wee bubba's or any cat under our care. It doesn't matter if we've know them for only a minute, from that first breath we are there beside them and when they fight, we fight with them.
It's not always a positive outcome but I'm so relieved to say baby Tinkerbell is doing well now, Mumma cat started eating by herself last night and baby Iridessa has hung in there with just a little assistance.
My first time I let myself sleep last night after a very rough week.
To all the breeders out there that are just hanging in there at times, remember this is just one moment and it will pass. It is all worth it. 🩷

Lots of nursing needed over the past couple of days with my newest litter of two. I'm feeling like a zombie but as long as the wee girl that's struggling keeps fighting so do I. 🩷
I think wee ones like this need strong names, so I've named her Tinkerbell. 🧚♀️

She became too weak to nurse on Mumma so I have been tube feeding her since late yesterday afternoon. (Inserting a tube directly down into her tummy to feed her).
This evening with a little help she latched onto Mum which is really hopeful. She's also getting glucose syrup each feed to keep her blood sugar up and is on an antibiotic.
Mumma is amazing, doting over her babies, very attentive which really helps in situations like this.
Cinnamon girl (Iridessa) is doing amazing, lots of weight gain today. 🩷🩷

Stelmaria was just in the right lighting this evening to show her satin coat. Bengal's can have glitter which is on the hair tip or satin which affects the whole hair (it's hollow and reflects the light) or both!
Hard to say if she has glitter as well.
This should be an accumulative gene with some dominance so hopefully she passes it on to future generations.
