Want to know what a typical day is like at Bimlers Kennels in Rotorua? Read all about it 👇

Each day starts at 8am with the dogs let out into the play and exercise yards either individually or in small groups. While they're having fun each and every kennel unit is thoroughly cleaned. By 11am most dogs are in their kennel units for a midday nap.

Around 4pm the dogs have another exercise and play session while all kennel units are cleaned again, and then its back inside by 6pm for a healthy dinner followed by bedtime.

Everything that your dog needs during their stay at Bimlers is supplied by us - however as we want your dog to feel as "at home" as possible, you're welcome to bring along a favourite toy or familiar bedding to enhance your dog's stay.

Dogs are sociable creatures that enjoy human interaction, and as "dog lovers" we aim to make your dogs stay with us the next best thing to being at home. So while you're away we are happy to provide them with companionship, love and affection. We know all the dogs by name and enjoy spending time with them - whether it's to play ball or spend a few minutes giving them a pat.

We provide a nutritionally balanced, premium diet for all dogs and we are happy to administer medication at no extra charge as per your written instruction.

We are completely transparent with the way we operate, and you are more than welcome (and encouraged!) to pop in and take a look at our facilities.

Most importantly - we truly love animals and will do everything we can to ensure your beloved pet has a positive experience with us.

Bimlers Kennel & Cattery was established by well known local Harry Bimler in 1963 on 1.5 acres overlooking the stunning Lake Rotorua.

Owned and operated by Phil & Carolyn Hogg, we aim to provide the highest quality of care and services for your pets in our purpose built facility.
