It’s been a trying week not knowing if Aranui Bubble Gum was going to come through or not after having an emergency caesarean but lucky she’s so tough and resilient.
We would like to thank Chris & Greg and their big team of vets from Waikato Equine Cambridge also Megan & Ashley from the Taupo branch for all the hard work and hours that you put into saving our mare but unfortunately couldn’t save the foal.
Now it’s time to recover 🐴

Wow what an incredible night we had at the auction night on Saturday at the 2024 Polocrosse Nationals held in Northland!

A huge thank you to Paddy Cornelius for being our auctioneer for the night, getting through that many lots took a fair amount of work and there certainly wouldn’t have been as many laughs without you. Of course a massive thank you to all the sponsors listed below, to each and everyone of you we really appreciate the support & look forward to the Polocrosse community supporting you in return. And finally a big thank you to everyone who supported the New Zealand Polocrosse World Cup team by buying and/or bidding on items throughout the night.

Everyone who was present at the auction will be able to attest to how incredible the atmosphere was inside the club rooms & we are very proud to be representing our country knowing we have this amount of backing behind us as we prepare for the World Cup in July.

CATTLE TRAINING DAY AND CHALLENGE PRACTICE
Please be advised that the decision is that the training day will GO AHEAD this Saturday 4th November 2023
The details are as follows:
Location: woolshed Tutukau Rd, Taupo - there will be a sign on the fence. The gate is opposite Grant Mackie's arena (around 1703 Tutukau Rd) follow the driveway down to the arena
Parking: around the entrance to the arena. There are no pens on site for horses. Please keep clear of the panels for the cattle pen and the entry / exit gates.
Start time: 10 am Finish Time: around 3 pm
Help Needed: putting up the panels for the cattle pen, many hands make light work! Clearing the Challenge equipment from the arena before the cattle training starts.
Challenge Practice Equipment: will be in the arena for members / riders who wish to use the obstacles in preparation for the Challenge. Help will be given to any rider. Patterns will be available.
Cost: Free for members of the Branch; $20 for non-members.
Lunch: BYO and drinks
Hard hats: it is recommended that anyone intending to take part in the cattle training should wear a suitable riding helmet. Youth / children must wear riding helmets when mounted.
