WAIMATE ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣
Some are aware some maybe not (I’ve lost track of who i have spoken to about it 🤦🏼‍♀️)

After 5 years it saddens me that I am closing my books in Waimate. Come September I will no longer be traveling to Waimate for grooming. With Hunter turning 5 (yes 5!) it will no longer be able to fit into my day.

I will however still be grooming from Temuka and I know, and appreciate that some of you are wanting to continue using me and are willing to travel to Temuka to do so. If you would like help finding another groomer, mobile or just closer I am more than happy to pass on their numbers and also grooming information if wanted.

Tomorrow is club day down at the Geraldine Rugby Football Club. It’s a great day out supporting our local teams, up and comers and those who have a love for the sport, at all ages.

Geraldine is so lucky to have such a wonderful club rooms with a great president, an extremely involved committee and incrediblely supportive sponsors.

You’ll find Hunter, his amazing team and I running on field at 9.15 against Pleasant point Mud Pups

You’ll also see Pretty Paws on the back of number 4 at 11.45 Geraldine women’s vs Celtic and at 1.15 men’s reserve vs Mackenzie and many more fantastic sponsors on other shirts through out the day!

Worried about your precious pup getting cold over winter?

Now is a great time to book in a grooming before the cold weather really kicks in, this insures time for hair growth before it really sets in

It is important to keep your regular appointments during this time, even if you want to keep them long, to minimise the cause of matting by being thoroughly brushed out and high knotting areas being trimmed

There is always a ‘winter clip’ option where we can groom your dog a few lengths longer to keep cover over the colder months and then return to the ‘summer clip’ for the warmer months.
A winter clip will also insure quicker drying after being out on the dewy morning grass (with longer hair they stay wet for longer making them colder)

JUST A DOG
“From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog,"
or "that's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand
the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog."
Some of my proudest moments have come about with
"just a dog." Many hours have passed and my only company
was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted.

Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by
"just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!!

Easter bunny has come early for us this year with a visit today…

Hunter insisted the pets be included, so the dogs have enjoyed a hunt for VitaPet New Zealand chocolate dog drops, while the horses enjoyed a New World Temuka carrot each

From my family to yours, we hope you all have a safe and happy Easter. Keep warm and stay safe on those wet roads this long weekend 🐾🐾
