!!Rehomed!!
Quinn (Whoa Nelli) has found her new home! She has gone up to Murchison where she will do some hacking in backcountry by Owen River.

Before travelling we give our horses a feed of Fiber Fresh Travel Pro before they head off to their new homes. This helps maintain hydration and good gut health during long journeys.

We'll miss having Quinn around, but we are happy she has found a great new home! We look forward to seeing what she gets up to with her new family.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated towards Lace's vet treatment so far! It's wonderful to know that so many of you support what we do. We know that it's hard for lots of people financially, so we really do appreciate it!

Lace will spend the next few weeks with Maddy (one of our wonderful riders) for some extra TLC while she recovers.... thank you Madison Strong, we couldn't do it without you! We will post some photo updates soon and let you all know how she is going🥰

Our chestnut mare Lace has had a paddock accident and required veterinary treatment for large tears in the corners of her mouth caused by electric fence wire😢Lace had only just started her ridden training and will now be recovering for at least 4 weeks.

We have started a Givealittle campaign to raise funds that will go directly to Lace's veterinary treatment and rehabilitation. Any donations would be greatly appreciated! ❤️

Stable to Stirrup is a registered charitable trust set up for the rehabilitation, retraining, and rehoming of Standardbred racehorses.

Nyra has found her new home!
Our beautiful Nyra headed up to Blenheim yesterday and has arrived safe and sound. We are so happy she has finally found a great new home.

For horses travelling long distances we always give them a feed of Travel Pro by Fiber Fresh Equine - New Zealand. This helps maintain hydration and good gut health. Travel Pro is perfect to feed prior to travel or during competition.

Nyra schooling on thursday morning. She is such a sweet and kind mare. We don’t know how she hasn’t been snapped up. She would fit into a dressage, showing or happy hacker home. She would make a great Christmas present for someone.

Eamon doing what he does best showing off how fancy and awesome he is. He has been focusing on flatwork and road riding the last few days. Eamon is able to do walk trot canter in the arena with ease. He has also been great with the greener horses down the road as he’s a very calm influence.

Standardbred Stable to Stirrup Charitable Trust:

Every year over 100 retired standardbred racehorses are taken in for training and rehoming by a group of volunteers in Canterbury. Horses need hay, rugs, pasture, as well as a farrier and veterinary care during this time.

Often horses have to undergo rehabilitation before they can enter into a retraining program. Hundreds of standardbred horses do not have a chance to be rehomed due to a lack of resources. It is a sad reality for these beautiful horses, but we are committed to change it.

In the future, we want to create a quality rehoming facility that more horses can be taken in, but today the most urgent need is to raise funds for primary horse care. Donate and give ex-racehorses a new life!

SRRCC Trust is established to rehabilitate and rehome retired standardbred racehorses, educate the public on ex-racehorse welfare, and raise funds for various groups of volunteers involved in rehoming standardbred racehorses.
