Cruise's name totally sums him up. He is an absolute pleasure to have around, cruising along with what ever you might be doing. He will happily go play at the river or move the odd mob of cattle. Though he has had a full career over the past 8 years he is now looking at slowing right down. He is good with other dogs, chickens, horses and great with kids. If he is not kept in a fully fenced area he will go wandering and see what the neighbour's are up to.

Luke is waiting for his forever home...

He is a lovely older chap that would love a quiet life with someone that adores him.
A walk, a ball thrown, a comfy bed and a good scratch is his idea of heaven.

He can be selective with other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
He is not suited to a home with cats.
Luke likes routine and he needs to know where he fits to feel secure.
He has manners and responds well. He always looks to you for direction, connection and reassurance.
Luke is a strong large boy so he needs a person that can keep up 😉

Luke loves a good splash about in water and he loves to explore with his favourite people.

He's a bit special, his heart is huge and it is our greatest wish for this sweetheart to find his home.
He deserves it so much.

💔 Urgent – This Sweet Senior Needs a Home or Foster 💔

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Another old soul left behind, confused and terrified in the pound. Her world has crumbled overnight, and she’s not coping at all.

At 10 years old, she’s gone from the comfort of the only home she’s ever known to a cold, unfamiliar kennel.
She’s scared, overwhelmed, and shutting down.
Her fear is making her a little growly, but who can blame her? Everything she loved has disappeared in an instant.

Her family is moving overseas, and the long journey would have been too much for an older girl like her. We know many of us would do anything to keep our pets, but with changes to visa rules, more families are being left with no choice but to leave their beloved companions behind. 😞 And sadly, we are going to see more of this.
This sweet girl desperately needs a patient, quiet home where she can feel safe again.
She’s good with male dogs but not female ones, and she’s okay with cats as long as introductions are done slowly (for the cat’s sake more than hers! 😂).
She’s been around kids, but right now, a child-free home would be best until we can help her decompress and understand her needs better.

Normally, we would bring a case like hers to the farm, but she’s too fragile for that environment right now. She needs a gentle hand, a soft bed, and a kind heart to help her find her way again.
Staff are trying everything they can to give her comfort but she just stays in her box 😭

Please, if you can foster or adopt this beautiful girl, reach out.
She doesn’t have much time, and she doesn’t deserve to spend another night scared and alone. 💔

Sarge is ready for his retirement life, He is a great dog with an amazing personality!
He is looking for a home that will love him and with a fireplace to lay in front of during winter time!
He's a 10 year old Huntaway who is a pretty chill and laid back dog that likes to just lay around the place. He's extremely loyal and will follow you around like a bad smell. He’s very much a gentle, loving sweet dog!! Always wanting a pats!
His owners have tried to retire him with them but as soon as he hears any farm activity or the bike he is off to find where the action is.

Handsome Jack has been a very capable fully broken in heading dog. At 10 years old he is slowing up with age although still capable of working sheep on a small easy block. Lovely nature. Good with children. No known health issues/injuries.

Lovely old girl Jet is a retired working dog. She's a 10 year old Huntaway and is happy to just hang out. A very chilled personality, loves a hug and has had plenty of interaction with other dogs. Jet has no health issues and still has a few years in her yet. She would suit lifestyle rural block, with a loving individual or family.

Crunch is a 9 year old friendly huntaway who is looking for a great retirement home with loving and caring owners.
He loves going to the river swimming and playing fetch. Gets on well with other dogs and is used to a cat . Has commands if needed and will not bark in a kennel.
He is still very fit for his age an eye injury has limited what he can do on the farm.
His owners are wanting him to go to a home where he will be exercised daily, ideally a lifestyle block or a big back yard where he is able to help out moving sheep or cattle on the odd occasion.
Serious inquiries only as Crunch will only be given away to an approved home as he will be greatly missed.

OLD DOG RETIREMENT HOME ❤ PLEASE SHARE - It’s been a long, challenging journey for these two elderly dogs since they tragically lost their owner. Thankfully, Buffy & Angel's vet care is now complete. Angel's ear has healed beautifully, and both are now clear of the kennel cough they caught while in the pound. Their foster mum has lovingly cared for them, providing a safe and healing space. She said they are truly wonderful dogs, and she would keep them if she didn’t already have her own three. Here’s her assessment of them: Buffy and Angel would thrive with someone who is home all day and who is looking for two incredibly loyal and loving companions. They miss their owner terribly, as he adored them, and they are still grieving his loss. Buffy (10) and Angel (9) are medium-sized crossbreeds with the gentlest, most loving nature. They are not good with cats, secure fencing is a must, they are not jumpers, but do tend to look for you if left alone. They love lying in the sun, following you around the garden, and simply sitting beside you. They are currently in Edendale but can be transported to the right home. Narla who was rescued with them has settled amazingly well into her awesome forever home. Harry & Tikka 14 years

ELDERLY DOGS NEEDING HELP ❤ PLEASE SHARE – Harry and Tikka are both 14 years old and have always been together. Sadly, their owner passed away Suddenly last Thursday, and they are missing him terribly. They are gentle, affectionate dogs, who need to find a retirement home together. Harry (brown) and Tikka (black and white) are both Border Collie crosses. They are very good-natured and loving. Tikka is diabetic and requires a small injection every day (which is very easy to manage), and the cost of the medicine will be covered. They had a recent vet check in Wanaka, are fully vaccinated, registered, chipped and can travel anywhere needed. Their extended family are more than happy to assist with any costs associated with their care. They have not been around inside cats, but did at one time live with an outside cat. Meet Eileen, an absolute darling who is looking for her retirement home. She is a fourteen year old Springer Spaniel who is located in Auckland.

She is a sweet, easy going and relaxed lady who would love nothing more than to find a forever home where she can get lots of pats and take lots of naps.

She is an absolute sweet heart who likes going for walks and being around people but is more than happy to have her own space too. She is great with people and kids and other dogs, she hasnt been tested with cats.
