Exciting stuff! Dr. Crystal will be returning to speak at the VetExpo in Sydney this October, 2024. This will be the fourth year that Dr. Crystal has lectured at the VetExpo, and the event is evolving and becoming better and better each year. This year there is a great line up of speakers, particularly in the dentistry stream! Come out and meet us, and pick up some great tips on dentistry and oral surgery.

Dr. Crystal is lecturing on two topics:
Death of a Pulp: Diagnosing Endodontic Disease, and
Stranger Things: Unexpected Cases in Dentistry and Oral Surgery

Congratulations 🎈

After years of planning, writing and editing - it's here.

I’m proud to have authored three chapters in the latest Veterinary Anaesthesia Nursing textbook!

I’ve shared my excitement and passion for veterinary nurses to know more and do more regarding understanding ECGs and Breathing Systems, and our role in patient monitoring during the Anaesthetic Recovery Period.

Congratulations Gary 🤩🤩

🌟🌟MEET YOUR BOARD🌟🌟

The VNCA is thrilled to announce our 2023-2024 President!

For the first time in the history of the VNCA, the role of President has been filled by a veterinary technician, Gary Fitzgerald.

Gary graduated from the University of Queensland Veterinary Technology program in 2006, and now holds the position of Practice Manager for the UQVETS Teaching Hospitals. In this role, he manages a large number of staff across the Small animal, Equine and Production animal teaching hospitals. Gary is one of only two people in the Southern Hemisphere to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Clinical Practice (Exotics)!

Gary is strong advocate for Nurse and Technician continuing professional development and has lectured at national and international conferences. He also holds committee positions for both the Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technician (AVNAT) registration scheme and the VNCA QLD division.
