Please welcome and support PUSSN BOOTS KITTY Rescue to the Coast, they are determined to make a difference to the huge population of unloved cats in our region. They need fosterers and fundraisers!

We are still here for help with dogs and rehoming on behalf, just taking a step back for a bit while our human babies are little.

ADOPTED!

To all the people making the assumption that Their Voice were the ones taking the dog to be euthanized and writing terrible stuff on our post, take a step back and use your brains. Every rescue is at capacity, the OWNERS made the decision for the dog to be euthanized and if it wasn't for us making this post he would have been put to sleep yesterday so take a step back and re think before you comment on our posts like we are the ones just having animals euthanized because that is NOT true.

**REHOMING ON BEHALF, URGENT**
Will be euthanized if a home isn't found in the next week.
GREYMOUTH BASED

We will pay for Zeus to be desexed and chipped if a new home is found🐾

His owner has given us this information.

This is Zeus he's a really social dog, loves humans and walks and going on adventures. Chases cats isn't good with being around farm animals, also he's not desexed or registered, he's had his first vaccination. Can get him registered if he finds a home in time.

Please contact us and we can pass on your information, SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!

LETS CLEAR THINGS UP!

There may be some confusion out there and for that, we apologise.
We are still desexing, microchipping and vaccinating rescued animals.
Due to the lack of a refuge/HQ building and very few reliable fosterers, we have needed to stop taking animals in that are not in desperate need. HOWEVER we are still assisting our volunteers, dedicated fosterers and the public to help their animals and other animals of the West Coast.

• If you can donate food OR money GET IN TOUCH.
We have a give a little page. This directly pays our constant vet bills.

No microchip, but looks loved and cared for. Please get in touch if this is your little cat.

*ADOPTED THANK YOU*

This lovely 6 month old boy, 'Mr Handsome', is seeking a Foster-to-Adopt situation.
He is very friendly, loves a smooch and gets on well with other playful cats.
You will need to live on the West Coast and be able to take him to vet appointments.
Please send our page a direct message if interested. 🐾

●●PEANUT AND HAZE UPDATE●●
Peanut and Haze have been saved with a few hours to spare and they are on their freedom ride now! Shout out to all the people that offered up their homes and love in such a desperate time for these two amazing dogs.
We all saved lives together, words can't describe how happy we are with the outcome. Both dogs are heading to amazing forever homes further South❤️🐾

**WILL TRAVEL TO DROP THEM OFF, SOUTH ISLAND. THEY CAN BE SEPARATED**
These guys are being euthanized TOMORROW if a suitable home can't be found, please if you think you can help send the page a message!!

●BOTH DOGS HAVE BEEN SAVED●
**29/05/2024 - BOTH DOGS WILL BE EUTHANIZED TOMORROW MORNING (30/05/24) THEY CAN BE SEPRATED, ALSO WILL TRAVEL THE SOUTH ISLAND TO DROP OFF**

**EXPERIENCED HOMES ONLY**

**We are posting this on behalf of Haze and Peanuts owners**

Haze is very affectionate and cuddly, like humans more then other dogs.. tends to get defensive around food. Knows how to sit, shake paws, stay. Loves playing fetch, chasing sticks and going swimming. Good if walked alone but tends to pull on her lead. Not good with other animals. Haze gets grass reactions and swells up if stung by bees. She is okay to have an antihistamine when this happens.

Peanut is very affectionate, loves human interaction and other animals.. will play well one on one but has snapped at dogs in the past so needs to be watched. He knows how to shake paws, sit, wait. Peanut loves to play and adventure. Peanut pulls on a lead and try's to greet everyone.

We would like both dogs to be rehomed together if possible. They would not be suited for a home with younger children or other animals. They would need a fully fenced yard. Both dogs are de-sexed, microchipped and up to date with their vaccinations.

Please send the page a message if you think you'd be a suitable home for Haze and Peanut.

We are selling raffle tickets at New World Hokitika today, $2 each or three for $5.
There are four prizes, a kitchen/food hamper, laundry hamper, sandwich maker and picnic hamper.
Even though we aren't currently accepting more animals, we are still doing work in the background which needs funding.
This includes;
* Caring for the animals we still have in care, including some long-term cats like beautiful Fluffy, here.
* Community pet + pound dog desexing.
* Equipping people who are willing to rescue animals themselves with food, blankets, traps, flea/worm treatments, veterinary care etcetera.
* A vet account in credit, for emergencies and special cases.

Thanks for your support and especially to the ladies who organise and run the raffle.

*Max is adopted*

Max spent the first couple of months of his life living outside, so he is a little bit sensitive to loud noises and change. When he first arrived, he hissed and hid.

He's come a long way since then, though. He is now about 4 months old.
Once he's settled he is cheeky and affectionate, playful and curious. He'll curl up in bed and greet you with a meow, and winds all in between your legs.

He tolerates the toddler, but would be best with older kids, he hasn't met dogs but would accept a gentle dog once settled with his new family.
He MUST have a cat friend at home, he loves the company of other cats and smooches and cuddles them. We do have a buddy here he could go with, if you're open to adopting two.
If you would like to adopt, please tell us a bit about the home you could offer him.

He is booked to be desexed etc on April 19th and will be ready to go home after recovery.

Their Voice isn't over completely, please read the post🐾

This is an extremely hard post for us to be making and not something either of us want to do. We are heart broken that we are having to make this difficult decision and it hasn't come lightly. We have had plenty of discussions and tried to find a way to realistically make this work.

Due to a number of reasons, one including our huge lack of fosters and no facilities on the Coast, Their Voice NZ will be officially shut until further notice for any incoming community rehomes, personal rehomes and animals that are NOT in dire need of care.
Any animals that require urgent medical attention or if you have a welfare concern please do still contact us as we will still find a way to help out in these particular situations.

Their Voice NZ is run by only two people, that's right, it's just us.
One for the dogs and one for the cats is what everyone sees, but the reality is we are a team of two and we gave ourselves a mammoth task of covering more then 500 kilometers caring for animals all over the West Coast, in the 3 years we've been running we have rescued and rehomed over 430 animals.

As we have stated above this isn't something that we take lightly and we are devastated to have to make this decision until things are more organized and we can focus on facilitating the animals that really need us.
Any of our animals that have been rehomed and are needing to come back we will still take them back into care and place them into new homes.

This is not a goodbye, this is just a time for us to wrap ourselves up and look after our mental health since we have pretty well forgotten about ourselves these past few years.
This job doesn't come easy on the heart or the soul and as rewarding as it can be, it is also an extremely hard, sad and stressful job that you cant help but take home. We have both kept this going while working full time and trying to focus on our own growing families.

For the people who so generously donate to us, for now we are focusing on desexing pound animals and animals in the community that people are struggling to afford to desex, to try and put a dent in the never ending cycle of breeding, dumping and all that comes with it. We will also be giving out pet food to people who are struggling to feed their furry family members.

We also want to make a specific shout out to two beautiful humans who have been fundraising, educating, transporting and supporting us with Their Voice NZ since we started our mission. Krissy from Second Chance Clothing and Irene as you know we can't even find the words to describe how thankful we are for all your support, hard work and determination, without you two Their Voice would have had to do this long ago and we are so grateful that you do everything you can to help us continue helping animals all over the West Coast.

Until we are in a better place with available, stable fosters and a facility, this is the sad position we find ourselves in.
We couldn't have done what we have for so long if it wasn't for all the amazing people supporting us and fighting for us along the way.
You will never know just how much this means to us both, we will forever be grateful the way this beautiful community came together❤️

This is Pika!
She was rehomed by us and brought back through no fault of her own, she is a hunterway mix, about a year old.
Pika is on foster at the moment and this is what her amazing foster has to say about her,
Pika best suited for an only dog family apart from that Pika is an extremely easygoing and loving girl, she also loves playing fetch and likes people. Pika is very good around kids and is very intelligent, she picks up routines and habits quickly. She is good on a lead and she sleeps outside quietly but she will happily sleep inside and seems to be toilet trained🐾
If you would like to meet Pika and offer her an amazing home we would love to hear from you, just send the page a message with some information about yourself and what you have to offer Pika❤️

Two sisters, Fussy (black and white) and Mike Tyson (grey and white). These cuties are recovering well from their surgeries and are ready for their forever homes.

Born in a garage, they've had human contact from birth and are used to kids and small dogs. We think Mike would be better with older kids, as she puts the "fight" into "fight or flight"!!
They don't need to be adopted together, but would prefer homes that already have friendly cats.

Hi friends, I know we're all full to the brim, but is there ANYONE able to step out of the woodwork and take on a couple of shy, semi-wild kittens?
They are going to be euthanised if they aren't helped.
We can supply the food and litter, we will pay the vet bills. They just need somewhere secure and safe, and your time to teach them to trust. You would expect to have them for up to 6 months, depending on progress and adoption interest.

~KELLY IS ADOPTED~

This is the beautiful Kelly, she is very friendly and loving. 😻
She coexists with other cats, but is being bullied where she is right now and spends most of her time outside. With winter coming, her people would love to see her in a cosy, warm home.
She is Hokitika based.
Please let us know if you would like to adopt her.
