Rocky has found his new forever home 🥰
Rocky
Rocky needs to find a new forever home. This has obviously been a very difficult decision for his current owners to make but circumstances beyond their control mean that they have run out of options. I know you will all be sensitive and respectful with any comments you make. This is not an easy time for Rocky's owners.
A little information about Rocky, his breeders advised the owner that he is purebred but not a registered pedigree with Dogs NZ. The sire and dam were not hip and elbow scored or DNA tested for inherited diseases. Rocky keeps good health and he does not have any known health issues. He is microchipped and registered with the local council. He has completed his vaccinations for parvo virus and distemper but has not been vaccinated for kennel cough. He was neutered recently and he will be 12 months old at the end of January. As always, I have checked to see if the owner has contacted the breeder but they are not in a position to take Rocky back.
The owner advises that Rocky is well behaved inside and was easy to train to get him to remain in his bean bag area and he has been trained not to cross the line into the kitchen.
Rocky has had some puppy pre school training otherwise it's been all training at home.
He has grown up in a family with children.
The owner says:
"He is very quiet and nice natured. He doesn't really bark not even when passing other dogs on the street that are barking at him. He just looks curiously at them. He does bark when trying to chew limes he picks from the tree, but he is having fun.
He sits on command and stays with food in front of him until commanded to get it.
Rocky still gets pretty over excited over new people but soon calms down.
He does not have any skin conditions and has a beautiful coat.
He gets walked often and is free to run around a large back yard. I have a flap on my car shed with a warm bed/food set up where he sleeps.
He is good with bigger dogs and never gets angry. He seems good with the odd cat he sees too.
He loves chewing on his tyre toys and sticks. Has chewed a few beds to bits and runs off with the odd shoe but definitely learning not to chew certain things.
He doesn't mind being left at home alone and is generally a very happy and intelligent puppy with a nice nature".
Obviously, Rocky is a young lad and will need a fully fenced section and his new family would need to continue with his training.
If you think that you have a place in your heart and your home for Rocky, please send me a pm, explaining your situation, your previous experience with dogs and tell me what you can offer Rocky. I will forward your messages to the owners.
