Hi. I would like to advise the people who have ordered seedlings for autumn 2023, that your seedlings are in Hamilton and Cambridge. They are cared for over summer by my daughter Kathleen and son Isaac. I looked at them two weeks ago and they showed strong early mycorrhiza development.

Alexis "Overall, in my experience, results are excellent for Perigord black truffle mycorrhization and the sample of seedlings examined passed the requirements of the Quality Standard for Edible Mycorrhizal Fungi Seedlings adopted by the New Zealand Truffle Association in February 2022"

The truffle found 3 may started to deteriorate because it hand been exposed. So I harvested it 2 june. Total wt was 577 grams. Down to 452 after damaged was cut away. Will make good innoculum to go back into the field at the end of the season. Sorry didn't take a photo when it was whole

Chesthope Truffles

Chesterhope Truffles operates two properties each with a nursery and also a planting of truffle trees. The separation of the properties allows for the cultivation of two differing truffle species without cross contamination.

History Chesterhopes nurseries were created to produce high quality seedlings for Chesterhope’s own orchards. Both Perigord Black Truffle and Burgundy Truffle seedlings are produced. Strict protocols are adhered to from DNA testing of truffle inoculum all the way thru to final check before planting of seedlings. Over the last several years other growers have come to recognize Chesterhopes’s seedling quality and demand for our seedlings has grown.
