It's a Special Guinea Pig Wednesday! For the birthday of author Beatrix Potter, we have her "Amiable Guinea Pig" illustrations, 1917

Born July 28th, 1866, the famous author of the Tales of Peter Rabbit and other stories also famously included guinea pigs (both Assynian and Agouti types) in her stories and drawings. Potter kept a menagerie of animals of her own and borrowed others to inform and inspire her drawings. 🐹 🐇 🥕

Our March Show is next Saturday 27th. Public welcome from 10:30am.

All Breeds and Pet entries have now closed, but you can enter your pet in the Public Pet Show on the day.

If you'd like to enter as a public pet, bring your pet guinea pigs along on the day, make sure they are bathed and clipped nails.

Lunch break is between 12pm and 1pm, once pedigree judging is finished. Pet Show and Public pet entries from 1pm.

Our girl Frances won Reserve In Show from both judges Garden City Cavy Club’s August 2020 double show. Not bad considering she had a litter of five and a bad mammary infection only eight weeks prior. Just a few more championship points to earn, and she'll be a Show Champion 🏆
