West Coast Vets were proud to sponsor their young kennel hand Ruby Martin, when she represented her local Kokatahi Kowhitirangi Pony Club by riding as a draft rider on the Dunedin Branch Pony Club team, in the Springston Trophy Three Day Event in October.
The Springston Trophy was first held at Springston in 1972 and is now the largest pony club event in the Southern Hemisphere. This year the event was held in Rangiora, with 31 teams taking part.
Ruby and her pony Lansdowne Char Latte (known at home as Peanut) finished 8th out of the 31 riders in the 3B class (Junior 14 years and under).
The team finished a respectable 11th overall, out of the 31 teams competing in the trophy.
Ruby says a massive thank you to West Coast Vets for their support.

How is your dog's weight?
🐶🐶🐶

Did you know that arthritis affects one in five adult dogs and is even more common among older dogs?
Many cases go undiagnosed because owners interpret the subtle changes in their pet to "slowing down" or "getting old".
The good news is that by working together with your vet, a plan can be designed to suit your dog's specific needs.
This will ensure they receive the best possible care to maintain their happiness and quality of life. 🐶🐶🐶
