One of our Tikka Tot parents shared this photo of the beautiful Blue in all his glory, looking amazing and most majestic (we think, anyway).

We are always so excited to see and hear about the antics of the pups that we once love as our own and still consider part of our pooch whanau.

The lovely Sunny from our November litter and his brother, now named Harley, who came to Hokitika a few weeks later. This is them both recently at a pool party here. Both love the water just like their mother Tikka.

Can't wait to find new parents for these wee bundles of pure joy. Their antics are so cute and we look forward to hearing more as they grow in their new families once they have one!!

I don't normally do something like this but I want to show off how much my sisters dog line has progressed. She had a dream to have black retriever here in NZ, so she got herself a retriever collie and golden retriever and got herself her first black dog Shilo from a litter, she was pure black and she was used to launch this project. Shilo then had Tikka in her third litter and we were so lucky to be given her by Angela and we then carried developing the black colour. We now have Tikka who is a 8th (Mum) to Poppy, the daughter 16th (puppies 32nd) Wilko ( Tikka's best friend and dad to a lot of the babies). Kiser (our younger male, he came to us, from a family friend who brought another of Tikka's babies. We mow also have Tilly who was born from Kaiser so she is not quite ready to breed but another 6 month and we can continue breeding the black retrievers. Angela still had Shilo who is very much a house girl, if you turn up at hers you are greeted by by both golden and black retrievers. They are beautiful to see running around.

Meet the next generation of Tikka Tots, these are Tikka's grandchildren, from the mother of Poppy, who was mated with our pure breed golden retriever Kaiser. We are quite excited about these babies as they are the first of the next stage of building our black golden retrievers. The puppies are now left with the tiniest amount of collie left in there, the most remain part now seems to be the colour, they are lovely and kind, energetic and easy to train, the most amazing personality, just what we were hoping.

Vet visit today for our first set of immunisations! All of our pups personality’s shone through today, with some being super chill, some super excited, some curious and all escape artists !
2 of our gorgeous fur-ever friends have found their fur-ever homes and head away this weekend. One is off to Rakaia and one ALL the way to Dunedin ! So exciting !

Poppy is a great mum to her litter of ten

How exciting look the Tikka Tots have expanded Poppy, who lives with our niece and her family in Canterbury, has given birth to a litter of 10 puppies a mixture of golden and black.

There are 2 golden girls, 2 black girls, 2 golden boys, 4 black boys.

Oh we are feeling old now as that makes Tikka a grandmother, and we are great grandparents. Kaiser our beautiful golden is the dad of this litter.

These will be ready for their new homes near mid May and as they live in Canterbury will be available to view closer to the time if needed.

This is Keiser, he is the first dog who I have seen who will sit down and sit there for a long period of time and he is actually looking at the images on the screen. Well funnily enough we have Tilly from his first litter he has fathered and she does the exact same. She loves other animals on there and will watch for ages.

Our five baby puppies (4 weeks old) on Tuesday are busy playing with the newest member of the family our wee Tilly who is nearly 10 weeks old. They love roughing and tumbling and having fun.
