Spring is just around the corner and already newborn lambs are starting to make an appearance in some parts of the country. Every year, sheep and lambs are injured or killed by roaming dogs in attacks that are not only traumatic for animals and people involved, but are often completely avoidable.

A reminder to dog owners – especially those living near lifestyle blocks – to take extra care as early lambing season gets underway. Keep track of your dogs at all times, ensuring they are not able to roam, and always walk them on a leash around farmed and lifestyle properties. Little faces like this one will thank you for it!
