Ticks!!! Brought the cows over to house paddocks ready to de tick this week. They started early this year , this is the second lot of Bayticol applied so far and then on till sometime next year. Horrible things!
Fresh lush grass for the mums, babies and R1 year olds. I’m running all together this year. Makes life easier so far. All happy and content.
New R1 s put in with the main herd this morning. Not sure they have had steep hills like we have but they will soon get used to it.
Slowly thinking I won’t kill them. Bought a molasses mineral lick that will help them no end. Had a few licks , won’t take long for them to enjoy it.
Emerald births a beautiful big Heifer this morning . 20kilos . A Bonny lass lol. I have named her Emerald Jules.
We said good bye to Marshall Cooper today. Hope he enjoys his new ladies .
New bloodlines being introduced to my girls next season. We have the last of Marshalls baby’s due next month.
Ponies all rugged up, slush for Africa and yes snow clouds up on the Mountain and Ranges. It’s cold !
Ruby and the young ones coming to say hello. These weaned calves and R2s are particularly quiet. I think Pet Ruby is a good influence 😍
Clearly no one wants to move paddock this morning. Preparing for the cyclone. Moving animals to safe shelter paddocks. They can hunker down behind hills from the south easterly
Spring grass and they all feel frisky💕
A horrible stormy day at Rocklyn Stud this morning. You can see the snow clouds over the Mountain and Rangers.
Congratulations Wills and Micheal on your new baby. This is by my Bull Marshall Cooper out of one of my breeding cows I sold to the boys. So very exciting , they have 2 more girls to calve. 😍😍😍💕
Nice to feed out in some sun! How is at your place this morning. Show us some photos in comments
