**FOR ADOPTION - STILL**

We know we've featured this Mother & Daughter, Pecan & Cashew before, but we just had to post this because what are the chances of the remaining two family members posing in EXACTLY the same pose as Peanut & Butters - Pecan's sons! And THAT photo got them an absolutely fabulous home, so we're hoping this just might do the same for these two cuties.

The force must certainly run strong in this wee family :-)

Contact their Honorary Aunty Helen if you'd like to meet them or have a chat about them - text 0274 070 659 or [email protected]

**FOR ADOPTION - THE NUT CLAN**

Like Mother like Daughter!! Rarely have we seen 2 cat/kittens so relaxed and confident and so determined to live life to the fullest. They even nap hard - as evidenced by their sleeping style!

They came from an area with a lot of cats in it and the local vigilantes decided to cull (illegally) as many cats as they could. To keep this truly lovely wee family safe, they were uplifted and left in the care the a local vet clinic team - who were having a "nutty' day, hence the names.

Mama Pecan is an exquisite little cat who has managed to raise 3 stunning kittens who are all supremely well balanced, superbly outgoing and complelely human focussed - just like her! Not bad for a single Mum!!

She is the head of the Nut Clan and in her own right, is a fabulous wee feline. She is very affectionate, goes out of her way to meet and greet all new people - but will stand her ground with dogs and unfamiliar cats - and for such a small unit, is surprisingly confident in her own skin.

She loves being picked up and cuddled and will elbow her way onto your lap or desk, if you are working from home. She is a chirper, loves her food (wet and dry) and like her daughter, Cashew, loves a full on play session.

Cashew shares the same fabulous personality as her Mama - extremely affectionate, super confident, very outgoing, always first in line at meal times, a massive player and generally an all round winner. She loves cuddles (even upside down ones!), routines, making friends - whether cat, kitten, dog or human - and any toy that moves. Humans however are her very fave things in the world and she will join you wherever you are; so be warned, if you work from home, no keyboard is safe around her!

These two would make a great pair if you are looking to adopt two cats who get on really well together. They are desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, defleaed and wormed and are ready for adoption now. If you would like to have a chat about them, contact their Honorary Aunty Helen text 0274 070 659 or [email protected]

**UPDATE: ADOPTED! TOGETHER!!! GO WELL SWEET BOYS ###**

Rarely have we ever seen 2 cats/kittens (they are around 10-11 months old) so bonded and supportive of one another - and so without any vices!

Peanut and Butters (the vet nurses caring for them were having a "nutty" day!) were 2 of 3 kittens plus their Mama, relinquished to a vet clinic. They came from an area with a lot of cats in it and the local vigilantes decided to cull (illegally) as many cats as they could. To keep this truly lovely wee family safe, they were uplifted and left in the care of the Clinic staff - who in turn called us.

Peanut is the darker tabby - and he's going to be a big boy; he towers over Butters. He has a heart of gold, is his brother's protector and is first equal (with Cashew) in line for a cuddle and a smooch session with his foster family.

Butters is just a big, soppy hug in a gorgeous tabby coat. Like his brother he just loves a full on play session - and it's touch and go to see who is first at meal times; they just love their food!

They would suit a busy family with lots of time to spend with them - and they would be perfect for children as well as adults who want a lapcat or two. They really are that good.

Both have been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and defleaed and wormed. If you would like to know more about them, please contact their Honorary Auntie Helen text 0274 070 659 or email us at mailto:[email protected]

These are 2 of ours! And although they are for adoption, until they are, they desperately need a foster home. As Abby says, we are on the lookout for a room for them - somewhere where they can chill out and be loved while they wait for their new family to come and find them.

Please share this far and wide - this is what you CatsnCare supporters do so well πŸ’–

Snowball & Benson, 5 years old, very bonded brothers

These two cool dudes have been surrendered to us because the family dog makes them both very anxious - and their family feel they deserve so much better.

Snowball is the protective big brother who wraps up his smaller sibling in a protective embrace whenever they snooze together - the photo says it all really.

Snowball is super affectionate, outgoing - the meet and greet member of this wee team - and he just loves people.

Benson is a bit more reserved; he waits until Snowball gives him the ok with new people but having said that, once given the all clear, he too is a super snuggler.

They are very bonded and just gorgeous with each other so we are after a home for them where they can continue to be together - and obviously, one without dogs!

Both have been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and much loved. If you would like to know more about them, please contact their Honorary Auntie Helen text 0274 070 659 or email us at mailto:[email protected]

**FOR ADOPTION**

**UPDATE: Adopted!!!**

Meet Mickey - who sadly, found himself in hot competition with a whole host of tabbies and torties at a recent adoptathon and so was almost completely ignored, which is very sad because he is an absolute gem of a kitten-cat.

Mickey just loves people - small ones, big ones - individually and in crowds! He also loves cats and kittens and dogs and well, any other animal really.

He could easily become a family's "meet and greet" member as he thrives on being up close and personal and will climb up from your lap to where he can curl up and drift off to sleep to the beat of your heart - purring all the while.

Mickey is still a kitten though and he is a high octane player who runs like the wind through the house, leaping from point to point and generally having a blast. Until last weekend, he had a kitten buddy whom he shared everything with - including these madcap play sessions. They ate together, slept together and explored together, so Mickey would be great with another cat or his very own dog.

In short, he is a dreamboat of a teenager who deserves so much better than he has had thus far. He did come to us with a minor dental issue, but we have sorted that now. He is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and wormed and his personal physician (thank you, Dr Meagan) has given him the thumbs up to be adopted.

If you would like to meet this gorgeous bloke or have a chat about him, please contact his adoring Honorary Aunty Helen text 0274 070 659 or email us at [email protected] Be warned however, that she is hopelessly biased about him!!!

FOR ADOPTION: Introducing Benson and Snowball! We need to find these darling boys a wonderful new home as their former family have had to make the heartbreaking decision that a new situation is the best option for their welfare.
These boys are well loved, which you can tell with their gorgeous personalities. Snowball is an all over you for cuddles type of chap, while Benson is a bit more shy but just as sweet when he gets to know you. They're both around 5 years old and must be adopted together as they are very bonded.
Best suited to a dog free home.
Please get in touch if you have room in your heart for these sweethearts. Approved home only.

**FOR ADOPTION**

Adopting Franklin would be like having a miniature version of a furry, extroverted, affection and attention grabbing, rambunctious elephant join your family!

He's a complete clown - hurtles around like a lunatic, barely missing doorways and colliding with furniture on a regular basis, only slowing down to subside gracefully full length beside his carers - where he will remain snoozing for as long as he is allowed.

Franklin loves people, other cats, naps, wet food (when he does his Mr BobbleHead impersonation), being brushed (especially his tummy), having cuddles - lots and lots of cuddles, Greenies Dental Treats and generally being part of every. single. activity!

Interestingly he also loves having his eyes wiped and he needs this done daily because chronic cat flu when he was a kitten has left him with permanently blocked tear ducts. Sadly this need for extra care has put many potential adopters off and that really is tragic, because as his rescuer and fosterer agree, Frankilin is in the running to be the cuddliest cat in the world.

We have also given his teeth a scale and polish - and he may need another one sometime in the future, although with vigilant care, he may not. This too is probably linked to that virus he suffered from when he was a kitten.

If you would like to meet this very special young dude or have a chat about him - contact his Aunty Helen - text 0274 070 659 or email [email protected]

**FOR ADOPTION**

Di - or Shy Di as she was known when she first came into our care - is happy to announce that she is Shy no longer!

After some reservations about people in general, she has blossomed into a playful, friendly - to humans and other cats and even our dog - little cutie. And beautiful she indeed is - with that very pretty face, amazing markings and short wee legs, Di is an all round stunner.

This happy little dynamo is a tiny morsel of a cat (2.7kg) who came to us pregnant but way too small to be having kittens - so she was desexed and taken into foster care.

Happily she has turned out to be an absolute honey - loves being cuddled and endearingly, presses up close for snuggle sessions.

She is now ready to announce her availability for adoption and if you would like to know more about her, you can contact her Honorary Aunty Helen by text on 0274 070 659 or email us at [email protected]

**FOR ADOPTION**

See that sweet smile? Well don't be deceived by it - this boy is an adorable larrikin!

Surrendered to be put to sleep and saved by an amazing vet and vet nurse team, Motya is a 2 1/2 year old long, slender silver tabby boy who was locked outside for weeks on end when a new (human) baby arrived.

Briar, his personal vet nurse, described Motya as the loveliest boy and so affectionate - and we can attest to that. He is also a massive player, runs at warp speed, can use his big back leg muscles to jump onto the top of cupboards - with no run up - and loves nothing better than to spend all day, every day interacting with his human(s).

He naps hard and if you are working from home (which his Aunty Helen does on some days), he will lay down as close as he can get and while away the hours (the photo says it all).

If he was a bloke, we reckon he'd be close to 2m tall and he looks and acts very like he has oriental blood flowing through his veins. Those chiselled features certainly point in that direction.

He is ready for adoption and we think he would do best in a busy household; he certainly needs lots of attention and despite being an extrovert, he can be hesitant with new people. Once the larrikin is released however, he is your best buddy and eager to participate in anything and everything on offer!

For more info, text his Aunty Helen on 0274 070 659 or email us at [email protected]

**UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!! (No surprises why :-) )**

Molly & Mandy are the last 2 kittens of a litter of 4, who are still up for adoption.

They are uber friendly, will play until they drop, are litter trained and as a bonus, have been fostered in a home with 4 young children, a dog and some adult cats - so needless to say, they would work in well with any sort of family set up.

They are booked to be desexed and microchipped next Tuesday so they will be available after that.

If you are interested in these girls - who sport almost matching outfits πŸ’•- and want to know more, contact their foster Mum on 0211 424 903 or email us at [email protected]

**UPDATE: ADOPTED - YAY!!**

We usually only take in the oldies - but somehow these cuties slipped under our radar!!

There are 3 girls and they are superbly socialised, thanks to being thoroughly loved on by the 4 children and dog of one of our vet nurses.

They are still teeny tinies and booked in for their desexing surgery and microchipping on 9th January - so not going anywhere until then, but if one (or two!) take your heart, contact Mel 0211 424 903 and she will be able to tell you all about them.

PS Dog NOT for rehoming - or we will lose our wonderful Clinic Manager!!! ☺️

**FOR ADOPTION - AROHA**

**UPDATE: ADOPTED - Lucky family and lucky Aroha ###**

Not much is known about this wee girl - apart that she was dumped on a backstreet up North and picked up by a local rescue group. She came to us with pneumonia - which has since been resolved with medication - and a fierce will to live.

Aroha is a typical tortie - with the strong personality that goes with that. She is a crazy player who melts with a good head scratch and plenty of lap time.

Currently she is being fostered in a vet clinic and she spends much of her time chilling out on one of the vet's laps. She is also acting as their unofficial PR person as she greets every single visitor with a trill of welcome and a demand for a gentle face and cheek rub - and EVERYONE is her new best friend!

Over this Xmas and New Year period however, she has to find new digs as the Clinic shuts for many of the holiday days, so she has to stay with her Honorary Aunty Helen. Ideally we would have loved her to have found her new home but sadly, no one has expressed interest in her, so Aunty Helen's it has to be.

She has been desexed, microchipped and fully vaccinated so she is ready to rock and roll with her new family.

We ask for a donation of $75 for a cat and that goes towards helping other cats or kittens in similar need.

For more information about them, please text us on 0274 070 659 or email us at [email protected]

** UPDATE: Biscuit has been adopted!! πŸ€—**

This wee cutie is 8 months old and she turned up on a guy's property when she was only 5 months old. Turns out she made a bad decision because he promptly brought her in to a vet clinic to be put to sleep. He didn't want her and didn't care what happened to her - very sad.

Fortunately some compassionate vet nurses threw their collective safety net under her and long story short, this super affectionate kitten is now in their foster care.

Biscuit is described by her current foster Mum as:

very chatty
always happy to see her (rolls over onto her back in ecstasy)
really enjoys playing with her toys so she would be great for a young family
gets on well with other cats even though she loves being the centre of attention
has really petite features so she will likely only be a very small cat
is super confident and an all round complete love.
She's ready for adoption now that she's been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and wormed, and so we are on the hunt for that special person or family who deserve such a gorgeous little lady.

If you would like to meet her - or have a chat about her, please contact her Honorary Aunty Helen on 0274 070 659 or you can email us on mailto:[email protected]

**FOR FOSTER**

Spike is a complete gentleman and he needs a longterm foster home where he will be loved, conversed with, medicated, cuddled and generally adored as the only cat. We will take care of all his costs - food, medication, litter - the lot.

He's 13 years old and was superseded by 2 kittens. By the time he was brought into the vet clinic, he was - as the usually very undramatic Clinic Manager said "in a really bad way and very close to fading away". The fact that they insisted on saving his life speaks volumes about just how fabulous this gentle charmer is.

If Spike was a bloke, he'd be at least 6'7" tall - he's one of the longest, lankiest cats we've ever met - and he's a complete smooch. He needs a companion who is happy for him to sit on their lap - or at least close by - who will let him sleep on their bed, who can hold their own in a lengthy conversation, who would love receiving his gentle affection and who is happy to put gel in his ear every night (for his hyperthyroidism). He is easy to medicate so this isn't a difficult ask.

If you are that person - or you know of someone who would love to have a Spike in their life - please contact his Aunty Helen on 0274 070 659 or you can email us on [email protected]

Help needed for a cat whose guardian has passed over the Rainbow Bridge...any of our followers know anyone in the Bay of Plenty who can help in some way?

Update; no further donations needed ❀️

SOS for a cat, it’s a sad story and she urgently needs a vet review. Goal $200

Kitty was very well loved until her owner sadly passed away a couple of years ago.
New tenant at the address took her on, but care hasn’t been the same and that tenant now not able to look after her. She is effectively abandoned at present. Urgently needs a vet review to determine best option for her as she is skinny, and presenting unwell. If she is healthy enough, wheels will turn to see her get a quality retirement home.

Vet consult donations sought with some urgency ❀️ cat located in bay of plenty. If any vets in the area that can help, would love to hear from you?

Can we help, we think we can try?

**FOR ADOPTION**

**UPDATE: Like many folks who suffered terrible loss during our dreadful weather events earlier this year, RaeRae and Mavis are also looking for another home. Please help us to help them - they so deserve it and will make wonderful, highly entertaining (!!!) companions for some lucky family.**

This Mum and Kitten combo barely survived the floods and the cyclone earlier this year - sadly Mum's other kittens did not.

They are a tightly bonded pair and need to find a home together because interestingly, Mavis the kitten is the braver of the two and the perfect role model for her Mum.

Even though she is young (Feb 2023), Mavis is a beautiful old soul with a nurturing nature who loves cuddles and tummy rubs. Happily we think she was too young to be badly impacted by the trauma of having to fight for her life during that dreadful weather event.

RaeRae (Aug 2022 approx), on the other hand, was taumatised by nearly drowning and losing her kittens to the flood. She can be wary around new people and startles at loud noises.

However she is a climber and explorer who loves to play - with anything - and that works to our advantage because string toys, scratching posts and toys that move or answer back (humans included!) are her very favourites and are the best way to make friends with her!

Their foster Mum thinks that their ideal home would look something like this: a loving, caring and considerate home where the people are patient and spend time playing with RaeRae. A quiet home where ultimately they can both safely be inside/outside cats is the dream.

For more information about these cuties, text us on 0274 070 659 or email us at [email protected]
