Last week, we got asked to take these two gorgeous babies who were left at a vet clinic up in Warkworth. As you can see, there is something not quite right. They both have Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which is a condition where the brain has failed to develop properly. Usually caused by a virus being passed on when the mum was pregnant.
We will keep you up to date with their progress, but cats with this condition can live long and happy lives. We have our fingers crossed that their tremors will lessen over time as they adapt and learn. They will need to be indoor cats for their safety. We won't be taking expressions of interest at this stage.

Francis is still awaiting his forever home. Francis is a 10 year old boy who ended up in the rescue as his owner went into a rest home so he is looking for a lovely home to spend his twilight years. He is a dominant boy who would be best as the only feline in the house and is tolerant of small dogs with the right introduction.

Bronte is a little firecracker! She’s full of energy, leaping onto everything in sight and exploring every corner. But once she’s burned through her zoomies, she transforms into the sweetest cuddle bug, curling up and purring.

This beautiful ginger mama came to us a couple of weeks ago with her three little babies.
We soon realised something was a bit off with Mirabeau, as she was quite wobbly and would shake her head and fall over. A trip to the vet revealed ear mites and a probable brain lesion, which she may or not have always had. Now with the ear mites dealt with, she shakes her head less but her balance is still off. Mirabeau is a real sweetheart and will be looking for an indoor home after desex at the beginning of December. Baby girls Tabac (tortie) and La Rascasse (calico/tabby), and boy Portier (ginger/white) are packing on the grams and will be looking for homes in the new year.

Meet Gingerbread and her big purrs!
Although she might look like a tiny 4 month old kitten she’s actually a whopping 10 months old. She is so small as she has very sore teeth.
She needs special dental biscuits to try and avoid having all her teeth removed as these are her adult teeth.
As any of you with pets on specialist food know these are not cheap! We would really love a donation of some dental food for her or if you can afford to pop a couple of dollars in our bank account we can buy her some 😊
