When our beautiful GSD Marcus died, Minka was one years old and missed him very much. But my lovely dog carer friend Anna (from Scarborough, UK) came to stay and 'Minka sat' and 'House sat' for 2 weeks. (Anna took this photo When MInka still mopey)When I returned Anna had introduced Minka to some local dogs at the park and she loved it. So with Anna's support I started 'Woodlanders Home Based Doggy Day Care and Walks'. Mainly so Minka could have her own 'play group'. Now 9 years later, our three founding members Izzy, Lucky and Rani are still regulars! And we have a whole new group of young 'uns; Raru, Rogue, Tigger, Darcie! Plus a youthful old timer - Leo,11. We have looked after some lovely dogs such as GSD Vader, Hoki, Ali, Chester, Lily - so many! And some who have passed over to Doggy Heaven: Miley, Meyah (Huskies from SA), GSD Tahi (from UK)and noble Lurcher, Ziva!!

So many different dogs out there. This one is quite unique. Pomeranians I have met are very affectionate and clever. Huskies are more single minded about their pursuits but very loyal. Wonder how these traits mix?💝
