7 weeks ago, Tauranga SPCA put out a call for a foster family for our gorgeous boy Zeus! 🐶💙

He was just 1 kg when he arrived and only about the size of a guinea pig! Check him out now at a chunky 6kg!!

A massive thank you to the 2 wonderful families who stepped up to foster Zeus and help take him from tiny vulnerable baby to a happy, healthy puppy!

Zues's current foster family are so in love that they just can't bear to say goodbye, so he's found his forever home! ❤

Hi I'm Snoopy, I'm awesome and you should adopt me! 🥳🥳

I've been available for adoption for over a month and no-one has applied to meet me 😢. My breed is 100% cutie, medium sized. 😉

I've been hanging out at an amazing foster home while I'll wait for my happily ever after! But it's time for me to find my forever home! She's taught me so much, I can go toilet outside like a big boy, I can sit, I'm crate trained, I love treats so training me is heaps of fun!

My favourite things are zoomies in the garden, kongs with peanut butter I can lick every scrap out of, cuddles and naps! (in that order!)

Look how much this little nugget has grown 💕
🌺 Iris 🌺
She was just a tiny 4 week old pup when she was abandoned on the railway tracks with her siblings.
Fast forward to now and she is a beautiful 6 month old pup who has the softest temperament and the biggest heart ❤️
Iris would suit a family that is around for some of the day, she could also live with another dog and gets along with everyone here at the centre 🐕
She has been fostered and loved home life, she can’t wait to get back to a comfy couch and snuggle by the fire.
Iris is at the baby giraffe stage and is all legs, we think she is a pointer mix and will be around 25kgs when fully grown.

SNIP ‘N’ CHIP COMES TO BAY OF PLENTY! 🥳

We are excited to be launching a new Snip ‘n’ Chip campaign for cat owners in Tauranga, Whakatāne, Ōpōtiki, Kawerau, Rotorua, Thames, Coromandel, and other neighbouring districts.

From 17 July 2024 we are working with local participating veterinary clinics to offer this service to cat owners who are struggling with the cost of desexing and microchipping. Vouchers help those in need get their cat desexed and microchipped for $30.

Bookings are now OPEN, so click on the link in the comment section below to check if vouchers are available in your area and register for your Snip ‘n’ Chip voucher.

If you know someone who needs help with the online system, you can help by completing the registration with them.

PLEASE REMEMBER – a limited number of vouchers are available to help those who require financial assistance. Please, only get a voucher if you need one and intend to use it. In the past, we have noticed some vouchers were never used, or bookings were made with vet clinics and never attended. When this happens, it prevents someone else from using the voucher who might really need it.

Maverick, Goose and Ice-man, along with their siblings are in urgent need of foster care!

These puppies are 4 weeks old and desperately need to be in a home environment! They are tiny babies that really need to be warm and cozy in a home where they can get small, regular meals and lots of cuddles. 💜

All pups are eating and toileting independently, we give you all of the supplies and support that you need. All we need in return is you!

We're looking for foster families to take on a pair or trio of pups for foster for 2-3 weeks.

💔 Lost & Alone 💔
These pups were abandoned on a walking track in Ohope and found by some kind children who took them home.
They have been with us for a few weeks and are now in good condition and ready to fly the nest and find their families.

🐞 Beautiful Lady Bug 🐞
Ladybug was found under a house with her siblings and brought to our Whakatane centre.
She weighed in at only 200g and was covered in fleas, our team knew that without extra tlc she would not survive so her and her siblings went to stay with one of our experienced foster carers.
Fast forward to now and she is a happy & healthy girl who is friends with everyone.
Despite her unique tabby & ginger calico colouring and sweet nature she has still not found her family.

Mario is all ears and waiting patiently for his humans to come and adopt him.

Mario & his siblings were abandoned at a local fishing spot and handed in to our Whakatane centre.

Mario is a kind soul and although he is still only a baby he has a laid back nature that everyone falls in love with.

Mario is a sharpei x and will be around 25kg when fully grown.

Are you missing this old girl from the Churchill street area in Whakatane?

A kind member of the public saw her looking disoriented over the weekend and handed her in to the vets who have said apart from being old she is in great shape.

She is comfy and warm at the centre and is waiting patiently for her mum or dad to collect her.

We have countless animals in our care that have been waiting a long time to find their forever families 😢 Some may be a bit older, some may have health or dietary needs, or some may simply be a bit shy. For these special animals, we’re removing all adoption fees in order to find their forever homes.

All of our usual adoption vetting processes still apply, so we can ensure every animal finds the right home for their specific needs.

Our SPCA Op Shop in Waihi is relocating! 📣

Hi, I'm Zeus a 3–4-week-old puppy urgently in need of a foster home!!

I'm a super chill little guy, I love a cuddle and a nap in my cozy blanket. I can eat yummy puppy mousse on my own I just need small meals throughout the day.

An adorable bonded duo, enjoying weekend cuddles 🥰

Jewel (black) and Olly (tabby) are siblings in our Tauranga Centre, and completely inseparable! ❤️ The team say "Jewel is a reserved girl, happy for Olly to take the lead. She enjoys gentle pats, and loves to be close by her protective big brother. You'll find them cuddled up together for most of the day."

We have so many gorgeous catten’s available for adoption at the Whakatane centre.
