Newstead Lodge is privately owned and operated and all the team have extensive experience in managing

Newstead Lodge is privately owned by hosts Charlie and Jenny Evans and operated by ourselves plus a team of diverse staff with a range of experience from vet nursing to animal behaviour. Our top priority is to ensure that your pet feels like this is a “home away from home”. Newstead Lodge was first established in 1961 and has grown to be one of the biggest boarding kennel and cattery facilities in

the Waikato. We offer a range of services including Doggy day care, pet grooming and dog spa. We have a range of indoor and outdoor play areas to suite all weather conditions. We cater for dogs that like to play together or those that prefer their own company. Whether you are away for a day, a week or a month your pet will be safe, secure and content with us.

Some important information for all staying with us during the Christmas/New Year’s period:

For those of you bringing your own food, please only bring enough for your booked time in resealable bags or containers. We do not have enough space to hold large amounts of food.

Please do not bring bedding or toys as we supply that too and with all of our guests its easy for things to get mixed up.

Remember that what you have booked for is what you will be charged for. We will confirm your booked dates with you when checking in.

We look forward to having all your fur babies with us over the holidays 🐾

This will be our last Woofa for the year as we get all ready for our Christmas guests - we will restart in the new year once all our daycare dogs are back visiting.

Christmas Daycare 🐶

We will be closing for Doggy Daycare from
Friday 20th December 2024 to Monday 6th January 2025

For the rest of January 2025 daycare will resume for
booked only daycare as usual.

IMPORTANT: Daycare from 6th January to 10th February

Even if you have a regular weekly daycare booking, you do still need to confirm with us if you are needing your usual dates over January or not.

We advise all to book early if needing daycare over these times as we have very limited space available.

If you show up without being booked prior, we will likely have to turn you away.

If you need to cancel a booking, please let us know as soon as possible. As we will have turned away others to hold your spot, If your dog is booked for daycare over January and does not show, you will still be fully charged for the day.

Please note any daycare bookings on a public holiday incur an additional $15.00 surcharge.
