s/cats are provided with TLC, quality food, vet treatment as required, and socialisation. Prior to adoption they are desexed, microchipped, receive at least one vaccination, and are up to date with flea & worm treatments.

Ruby and Zorro 🥰 Along with Ruby’s sister Luna, they don’t love the adoption days. Yesterday, Zorro did let many people pat him, and Ruby came out to play with one little boy. All 3 need to be adopted by people who will see past the shyness, people who are willing to take time to earn their trust.

I was fortunate to get some extra desexing spots last week, plus there’s been lots of boys (their surgery is quicker), and so this coming weekend there will be close to 30 kittens ready for adoption 🤯

There’ll be probably be two different adoption events (Sat & Sun), and I may pull out all the shy ones as realistically they’re going to hide with so many confident kittens anyway. Will see how the kittens all go this week, and will have one or two adoption appointment posts up at 7pm on Wednesday. It’s “so far so good” for Pearl on her FIP journey 🩷With a 20g weight gain since yesterday, I’m hopeful her weight loss has been halted and she’s now on the up.

After her medication each evening, she’s being given chicken. As you can see, she’s not the only one who wants her chicken 😅 Waiting patiently are Marco and Tiny, and impatiently trying to steal some is Louie.

Sad news.

At 5.26 yesterday morning, Scallywag took his last breath, snuggled in my arms 😭

On Friday, it became clear that he had neuro FIP in addition to wet FIP. He began to have seizures - would suddenly wake from sleep and run around the house, then freeze in one spot and tremble with a puffed up tail. In between these episodes he would find a friend to snuggle with. There was no point taking him to the emergency vet as there was nothing they could do that his vet wasn’t already.

For his safety, I crated him overnight and in the early hours of Saturday morning I checked on him and found him collapsed. I knew there was nothing that could be done to save his life, so I snuggled him close so he knew he wasn’t alone and he knew he was loved.

Such an unnecessary waste of life. Sadly and frustratingly, it’s going to continue happening until the desexing message gets through to everyone 🥺

Black & white - Pippi aged 4mths, Lilo aged 4mths

BOYS
Black & white - Jazz aged 4mths, Sprout aged 4mths, Zorro aged 9mths

They have all been desexed, had at least one vaccination, are microchipped, and up to date with flea and worm treatments. There’s a required adoption donation of $215 (one vax) or $265 (two vax) each to go toward covering their costs. They will come with a pack of the food they’ve been eating.

Appointments are available until last appointment time of 5pm. Send a PM to make a booking.

You and your household get 30mins to hang out with the kittens and see who you bond with. It’s best to being everyone who lives in your home, and no one that doesn’t.

😻 PLEASE NOTE: It’s the kitties who get to choose who adopts them, there’s no adoptions based purely on looks.

On behalf of rescues everywhere, stop making multiple adoption appointments.

You are selfish and entitled. Sadly, there’s no shortage of kittens and cats needing homes so if you make an appointment at one organisation and don’t adopt, you’ll easily be able to get an other appointment elsewhere.

But, please, stop wasting our time.
