New Zealands first ever BEST IN SHOW winning Swedish Vallhund!

We had an amazing 4 show weekend coming home with:

Saturday Show 1 under - Stefan Mitrevski - Macedonia
Best of Breed & Shortlisted to top 6 in Group

Saturday Show 2 under - Hans Almgren - Sweden
Best of Breed & Best of Group (Group 1st)
Then onto BEST IN SHOW under Duncan McAllister - Australia

Sunday Show 1 under - Lyn Carleton - NZ
Best of Breed & Shortlisted in Group

Sunday Show 2 under - Duncan McAllister - Australia
Best of Breed & Best of Group

To say I'm proud of what Bowie has achieved not only for my Kennel but for the breed in NZ so far would be an understatement. The first NZ bred to win Best of Group, then Multi Best of Group, Multi Reserve of Group, Multi Class in Show and now the only BEST IN SHOW winning Swedish Vallhund in NZ history to be put through to the in show ring by a Swedish judge was the icing on the cake!

A massive thank you to all those that have supported our journey so far but I have to say a special thank you to Ninni Alverfeldt Lidén for exporting semen from Bowies Sire Swedish Champion Hultahäxans Baccus Bactrim and Anita Whitmarsh for sending me Bowies Grandsire (the first Vallhund to win a Group 1st in NZ) NZ & Swedish Champion Svedala Linus Lingon. It would not have been possible without your precious line coming to New Zealand 💜

At just 4 years old Bowie also has 4x Australian Champion progeny boasting many Group, Class in Group and Class in Show wins. I can't wait to see what Bowie achieves next 🎊

A little behind everyone else with our Dogz Online results for 2023 but here they are!

⚔️NZ Champion Osuno Battle Born (ai)⚔️

Could not be prouder of what Bowie has achieved not only for me but the records he is breaking for the breed in New Zealand.

Bowie is now the first ever Multi Best in Group winning Swedish Vallhund in NZ!! 🎊

Closely followed by his grandfather Swedish & NZ Champion Svedala Linus Lingon (imp Swed) who was the first and only other Vallhund ever to win a Best in Group in NZ.

This year is already off to a cracking start with Bowie taking a Best in Group (Group 1st) at his only weekend out so far. I can't wait to see what this wee man achieves in 2024!!
