The Newfoundland Club Inc (NZ) was formed on 19 January 1981 and became officially recognised by The New Zealand Kennel Club on 21 February 1981 as a Specialist Breed Club. Covering the North Island, the Club has 3 formally affiliated branches - Auckland, Midlanz and Wellington.
