She’ll be ready for adoption as soon as we’ve treated a minor medical issue.

Meet ELIAS, a 4 month old Sharp Pei x mostly Shepherd, recently rescued by Humane Society.

He is the sweetest boy, loves his toys and cuddles and gets on well with the other dogs in our foster home.

He just sits and looks at the foster kittens in the home and then wags his tail when they play with his paws!

He has coped well with a harness and lead but hasn't been able to go out and about yet.

He will need some human daytime companionship and if a family situation children over 8 years only.

ELIAS has been vet-checked, neutered, vaccinated microchipped and is currently registered so we ask a minimum DONATION of $200 towards these costs.

His new owner must have a securely fenced property, which a volunteer from the Society will check prior to him being released to his new home.

You will also need to meet him at our foster home in Manurewa as we WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective owners.

Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any dog adoption application at its discretion.

Introducing REKO is a 14 month old Tibetan Spaniel recently rescued by Humane Society.

APPLICANTS FOR REKO WILL NEED TO LIVE IN THE GREATER AUCKLAND AREA - NO EXCEPTIONS

He is a lovely boy, good with the other dogs in our foster home and loves to play. He is a little bit scared of the cat in this home who is very used to dogs.

He loves people but is a little shy for starters but getting better every day and loves going for walks. He will need some human daytime companionship as wouldn't do at all well left alone for long periods of time.

If a family situation, children over 10 years only as we have no history on him and how he would react to younger ones.

CAROL is a 5 yr old Labrador x rescued by Humane Society.

She is a lovely active girl who gets on well with other dogs, and has been fine with the stoic cat in our foster home, but may chase if a scaredy cat ran from her.

She loves people, belly rubs and being with her humans. She is great on lead, loves a paddle and HATES FIREWORKS.

Carol would be a good mate with a dog of similar size and age and/or
would love some human daytime companionship.

In a family situation, children over 8 years only as she sometimes gets the zoomies and would knock small ones over.

ASHER is a Chihuahua x Papillon boy aged 18 mths, recently rescued by Humane Society.

He is a lively alert little guy, on the go and needs an active home to meet his needs. If a family situation best children over 8 years. He is also an affectionate little fellow who loves his walks.

He would be fine with another dog of similar size who he could play with
and some human daytime company would be good for him.

We are happy to announce that Luna has been adopted!

⭐️ ADOPTED ⭐️
LUNA, a little black girl was recently rescued by a Humane Society volunteer, is approximately a year old and a tiny little 3kgs in weight.

She arrived to us pregnant and has since lovingly raised and sent off her kittens to new families.

Temperament - sweet, demure at first but quite talkative once she knows you. She's friendly, purry and loves a good cuddle.

Health - Luna has a minor eye injury from her past that has left her with a frosted film over one eye, doesn't affect her vision or quality of life.

Compatability - Luna is dog-savvy, gets along well with small dogs who don't chase and can also adapt to living with other resident cats.

She would be fine as indoor cat but also enjoys exploring a secure garden.

She is a loving and affectionate cat, a gentle soul who deserves a forever home where she can be cherished.

She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FIV.

We ask for a donation of $100 which doesn't go anywhere near our costs but helps the cost of other animals in our care .

Luna can be seen at our foster home in Papakura.

We are happy to announce that Carol has been found by Police and returned to our care via the team at the Manukau Animal Shelter. She has been well cared for in the meantime by an unhoused person who originally found her.

CAROL is a 5 yr old Lab x She went missing on 08/11/24 after being scared by fireworks.
She went missing from Crampton Pl, Aarts Ave Rowandale Ave area (Manurewa, Auckland) but could be anywhere if she has been picked up.

There have been no sightings of her so anything that you know/saw that may help us find her would be appreciated.

We have done flyers, posters, etc. She still had stitches in from spay surgery. She is microchipped and registered to Humane Society.

Please help us bring Carol home 🙏
