CAT FOUND. Does anyone recognise this cat? She was handed into our Waipu clinic this morning as a stray found in the Nova Scotia area. She is a grey, senior cat with a few missing teeth! Otherwise, she appears in good health. She appears quite friendly and loved, although is not-microchipped but we'd like to get her back to her owner, if they are out there.
Please contact the Waipu clinic if you think she could be yours.

We are very grateful to be able to contribute to Caesar's happy and healthy life. He was such a special dog to have with us in clinic and will be missed! Now he is ready for his forever home thanks to Wandering Angels Animal Sanctuary

Caesar Update !!!!!

As Caesar continues on the road to full recuperation, he is doing well and we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone that played an integral part in helping raise funds needed for such vital medical intervention; thanks to you all, we made it and you helped us raise the money for his surgery - this accomplishment serves as another reminder of what makes our Wandering Angels community so extraordinary!
He is heading home tomorrow so thanks to @ Vet Centre Northland for all you do!

Chocolate is a beloved treat for many humans, but for our four-legged friends, it can pose serious health risks. Dogs lack the ability to metabolise certain compounds found in chocolate, making it toxic for them. While it may be tempting to share your Easter goodies with your furry companion, it's crucial to be aware of the potential dangers and take steps to keep chocolate out of their reach.
Chocolate contains two stimulants that are harmful to dogs: Theobromine and Caffeine. These substances can lead to health issues in dogs including Gastrointestinal distress, Cardiac issues, and death.
Please securely store chocolate away, to avoid any mishaps.
Should your dog get into your chocolate stash, seek veterinary attention immediately.

A historic moment for the The Vet Centre as it has changed hands from the Otamatea Veterinary Club to become an independent practice. The new owners include four veterinarians working within the business; (from left to right) Dr Emily Buswell, Dr Andy David, Dr Thomas Traill and Dr Sarah Briggs. We are incredibly grateful and excited to be embarking on this new venture and encourage you to come and say hello to our teams, if you are passing by any of our five branches (Waipu, Ruakaka, Maungaturoto, Ruawai and Mangawhai).
