Chocolate is a beloved treat for many humans, but for our four-legged friends, it can pose serious health risks. Dogs lack the ability to metabolise certain compounds found in chocolate, making it toxic for them. While it may be tempting to share your Easter goodies with your furry companion, it's crucial to be aware of the potential dangers and take steps to keep chocolate out of their reach.
Chocolate contains two stimulants that are harmful to dogs: Theobromine and Caffeine. These substances can lead to health issues in dogs including Gastrointestinal distress, Cardiac issues, and death.
Please securely store chocolate away, to avoid any mishaps.
Should your dog get into your chocolate stash, seek veterinary attention immediately.
