✨Training Highlights of the Day✨
We started with thick fog and ended up with the sun shining bright.

☕Mocha tackled impulse control around toys, working on cooperative play and perfecting his toy release. He's becoming a real champ at staying cool under pressure!

🐶 A warm welcome to Ruby! In her initial consult and training, we set the stage for success. Ruby's goals include nailing loose lead walking, improving her recall, and managing impulse control around social distractions. Exciting times ahead!

🏅 Happy put in some solid work on recalling off distractions, laying the groundwork for some competition obedience.

Look who’s back…

We welcome Lola back, to work on some social triggers, it’s been about 12 months, she completed my Puppy Development Program, her Mum has done amazing well maintaining her Life Skills.

I look forward to working with this team again.

🐶**Dog Training Highlights of the Day!** 🐾
Well the weather certainly was a hindrance today and we managed to see 2/4 scheduled today.

👨🏼‍🌾Ranger Intial Consult + Training
Ranger is a 5.5 mth GSD that is showing leash reactivity, today he had his intial consult plus we looked at tidying up some foundation behaviours,
Ranger has lovely food drive, and we introduced cooperative play which we can use in the future for training.

😀Happy Life Skills for Dogs Program
Happy and her owners are making amazing progress, today we looked a foundation recalls exercises, introduced a whistle plus extending the recall sequence with food games.

Although the weather was atrocious, it is commendable that these pups owners braved the weather for some training.🐶

🐶**Dog Training Highlights of the Day!** 🐾

Mocha's Life Skills Training
Mocha has joined us in a 4-week foundation program focused on recall and impulse control. Today, we laid the groundwork with basic recall exercises, conditioning his name and introducing a visual cue using a hand target. We also added in some impulse control exercises to improve his loose-leash walking. Great start, Mocha! 🐕✨

Koda's Gundog Journey
Koda is making fantastic progress in his puppy gundog program! Today, we look at building up his retrieve with a variety of fun games, introduced a hand target for recall, and explored different cues like a whistle and verbal curs. This little gundog in training is doing amazing! 🎯🐾

Doug's Puppy Development
Today marked Doug's last session, and I’m going to miss that gorgeous boy! We wrapped up with a fun play sequence added to his recall cue, introduced some puzzle games for his witching hour, and strengthened his scatter cue. Doug has been a joy to train, and I know he’s going to thrive! 🧩🐶

Each of these pups is making fantastic progress, and I’m excited to see where their training journeys take them! 🐾🎉

💖A bit of a golden day💖

💚**Cheezu Life Skills Training**
Cheezu has successfully completed our Life Skills for Dogs foundation program and has made great progress in many areas.
We’ve introduced a halt to help manage his lunging and to ensure consistency with different handlers while working on his impulse control around social triggers.

To address his RG struggles, we strengthened his basic sit & down positions, introduced a strong hand target to use for recalling away from objects, and implemented cooperative play with cues, Get It & Out.
Plus, we’ve established a rewarding exchange that Cheezu loves.

Great job Cheezu!

🐾 **Happy's Life Skills Training**
Happy worked on some essential car manners today, she learned to stay in the car until released and to re-orient to her handler upon exiting. This training will help her impulse control at the start of walks and keep her focused on her handler instead of the environment.

🎉 **Welcome, Mocha!**
Today, we had our initial consult and training session with Mocha. He's a bright boy working hard to improve his recall, loose lead walking, impulse control, and specific reactivity issues. Excited to see his progress!

🐕 **Koda's Gundog Journey**
Koda is a few weeks into our Gundog Puppy Program. As a pet and hunting companion, he's mastering a blend of puppy basics and gundog fundamentals. Keep up the great work, Koda!

🐶 **Doug's Puppy Development**
Doug is making fantastic strides in our Puppy Development Program. Today, he tackled recall, impulse control around food, and handling social distractions. Way to go, Doug!

🐾 **Happy's Life Skills Training**
Happy joined our Life Skills for Dogs Program last week. She's focusing on social and impulse control struggles, recall, and more advanced training. Looking forward to seeing her progress!

PUPPY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Back with young Doug this morning, today we worked on platforms, reinforcement zone, release cues, cooperative play and different reinforcers, recall.

**Using Toy Reinforcement for Recall Training**

Toy reinforcement is an excellent strategy for improving recall in dogs. By using a favourite toy as a reward, you can make coming when called an exciting and rewarding experience for your dog. This method taps into their natural play drive, making them more eager to respond.
This creates a positive association with the recall cue and encourages consistent behaviour. Incorporating toy reinforcement into recall training not only enhances your dog's responsiveness but also makes the training process enjoyable for both of you.

We welcome Kira for her 1st official session with us, Kira & I have met a few times when she was younger and did a howl a ween photo session at K9 H/Q, her handler is doing an amazing job we are just strengthening what she is doing and tweaking a few things.

She had a great session at the park, it was busy and distracting.
