This polo ground played incredibly well and safe for the horses 🙌 huge effort by the team at the Guards Polo club to product such amazing grounds. To all the grooms, pilots, vets and farriers out there thank you, you literally live for these horses and look after the like superstars so thank you very much too 🙌🙌🙌

These girths last for a very long time, but the pads are a soft material that are designed to be soft and go against a horses skin and subsequently did not last as long as the actual girth and are designed to be replaced. The pads are attached by Velcro so super easy to take off and replace. The consequences of leaving the pads on the girth when they are in this condition not pleasant at all for the animal. The worn area sits right behind the elbow which chews out the skin and can create massive girth galls or at the very least pain behind the elbows so unhappy horse that doesn’t want to perform or move properly. The outcome of unhappy horses they lose condition don’t go well and to be honest knowingly putting horses in pain it’s a serious animal welfare issue. The solution is easy. The pads are easy to get hold of very easy to replace and a lot cheaper than buying a brand-new girth.
