Chickenman was set up to re home commercial laying hens that were no longer required by the farms. These hens are usually approximately 18 months old and if not re-homed would be used for pet food, fertilizer and other not nice options. Thanks to our fantastic West Coast supporters

Chickenman will be open over the ANZAC weekend and we have 400 new laying hens ready to go out They are 15 months old and are $13.00 each
Chickenman has been asked by a local egg farmer for help. The farmer has had a change in personal circumstances and temporarily has to destock while they find a new farm and re-establish themselves. They have 700 hens that they need us to move for them as quickly as possible. The hens are brown shavers and are only 12 calendar months old so haven’t even done 1 full season of laying. These will be great girls, but the catch is they have been slightly underfeed in recent weeks and will need a bit of extra love in the first instance with some extra protein. They are $13.00 each and if you’re keen for some hens please just get in touch via the page or message us on 021 243 8566.
