Would anyone like to volunteer to help rescue some ex-battery hens next Wednesday? You will be needed for a couple of hours in the morning in Te Puna. I will be working with a charity "Free as a Bird Rescue" We will be collecting the hens from their cages, helping each other to cut their nails, worm/de-mite them, check them over, maybe trim beaks and load them up into a car for transportation to rehab :) Not for the faint hearted, it will most likely be emotional and a smelly job.
