Auckland Council runs three animal shelters across the region. We’ll share pictures and profiles of all our adoptable pets and share useful tips to help you care for your new family member. Featured animals can be found at our shelters in Manukau, Silverdale and Henderson. These animals have been assessed as suitable for rehoming, however, when considering adoption you should carefully consider th

e fit of any new pet with your personal circumstances.

Bailey & Destinys day out!

Bailey & Destiny had a great time out in Te Atatu, there was lots of swimming and Bailey had fun trying to catch and waves! If you see a dog you would like to meet, click on the link below and fill out the application.https://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/dogs-animals/Documents/dog-adoption-application-form.pdf Once completed, email it to the shelter the dog is at. Either, Manukau [email protected] Henderson [email protected] or Silverdale [email protected] If your application is suitable for that dog, we will then contact you to arrange a time to come in to meet them or, suggest another dog.
