🥳 Tily has found her forever home! A big thank you to her new family. We know you're going to have so much fun and adventures together. And thank you to everyone who has shared and cared along the way. You're all pawsome! ❤

--------------
🐾 Pupdate 11 July - Tily is going on a home trial! We'll give you an update when we have some new info to share.

--------------
🐶Tily is up now for adoption 🥰

Tily is looking for a loving home and someone who has the patience to help her become confident around people. We think she is a Border Collie x Staffy and somewhere between 2 and 4 years old. She is good with other dogs and doesn't seem phased by stock, but can be timid around humans.

She's quite energetic and once she gets to know you she can be a bit jumpy, wanting to give you lots of love. So she needs someone who can continue her training and spend lots of time with her. We think Tily would be best suited to a single or couple as she can be overwhelmed by too many people or young children.

If you think you can give Tily a loving home, please call our Animal Control Team on 06 765 6099.

We have the BEST news. Toby was adopted and is right now living his very best dog life with his amazing new whānau! Thank you to his newly adopted family for giving this big fella the home and love he deserves. Enjoy the cuddles and adventures ❤

We’ve had many people follow Toby along this journey and it’s had a few twists and turns along the way. Thank you to you all; from those who opened their homes and gave Toby a trial, to those sharing and commenting. We know Toby would smooch you all himself if he could.

------------

Pupdate Thursday 11 July - So, some great news for Toby. His meet and greet went really well yesterday and he's now on a home trial! 🙌

------------

Pupdate Monday 8 July - Toby has a promising meet and greet booked later this week and we’re no longer taking more applications for him right now. As always, we really appreciate the interest people have shown in Toby - thank you!

We've got another dog up for adoption now, too. Please read all about Tily and call us on 06 765 6099 for more info or to arrange a meet and greet: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=883638540472884&set=a.312534300916647

------------

Pupdate Friday 5 July – Unfortunately Toby's latest trial hasn't worked out, he bothered their horse a bit too much. But we're super thankful for them giving him some love while he was on trial with them.

So, we're desperately seeking a new home for him, and suggest it's someone who doesn't have stock or cats. Please contact us ASAP over the weekend if you'd like to rehome him.

Serious applications only please.

------------

Pupdate Saturday 22 June – Toby has gone on a trial to an awesome new home 🫶

------------

Pupdate Friday 21 June – Toby has a really promising meet and greet booked with someone who already has a large rescue dog, and we’re hoping for a great result! We’ve had heaps of calls and enquires about the big fella, so we’re no longer taking applications for Toby right now. Thanks so much to everyone who has taken an interest in him. We hope to give you all an update soon.

------------

STILL SEARCHING FOR A HOME - Toby went on a trial earlier this week. His hosts loved having him around, but Toby was a bit too curious about their cats (who did not approve), and so he’s still available for adoption. Our thanks to the lovely people who took him for a little holiday. Knowing Toby, it would have been a hard decision to make.
Toby is such a sweet dog. Super friendly but doesn't jump up on people, would be good with your other dogs, has basic training, and a lovely nature. Toby is an 18 months old heading dog cross. He's a big fella and a real softie.

🐾Please call our team on 06 765 6099 today if you want to learn more or to arrange a meet-up.
🐾Please share this post to help spread the word. Thank you!

Some of our dog walking areas require your kurī to be on a leash, such as the Western Loop walkway.

Our parks and reserves entrances have signs up but you can also check out our website for maps of these designated areas: https://www.stratford.govt.nz/…/anima…/dogs/walking-your-dog.

Please be considerate to other walkers when you're out with your kurī and follow the on-leash rules.🐾
