URGENT COMMUNITY FOSTER ❤ PLEASE SHARE - Due to a run of unfortunate and unforeseen events Koda is needing to find a temporary foster home while his owner finds their feet again. His owner has said he is a kind and gentle natured Huntaway that has always been on a farm. He sleeps either inside or out in a kennel and run. Koda has been around other dogs, cats and kids and is a big teddy bear. He is vaccinated, microchipped, registered and up to date on worming and fleaing. Ideally with Koda being from a farm situation he would be best to go into foster on a farm or rural home. His owner is currently located in the Gore area so would be a bonus if a foster in this area was found. If you can temporarily foster Koda please get in touch as soon as possible. He only has until this Friday. Thank you ❤

Checked by vet and no microchip FOUND ❤️ PLEASE SHARE - Friendly Black kitten in the I’m at Kapuka South, about 10 mins from Gorge Road Southland. Have checked with neighbours, and no one is missing. VADA ❤ PLEASE SHARE - Vada is seeking a permanent home where she will be part of the family and given guidance, patience, love, time and training. She is an 7-8 month old Lab x who is located in the Invercargill area. She is a typical puppy with high energy but has the basic commands. Vada is an incredibly loving young girl who seeks out cuddles and gets along with all dogs she has met. She would do well in a home with an older calm natured dog to help guide and balance her. She is toilet trained. Vada is an athletic dog so is needing to go to a home with high fencing or training to stop her from jumping. Like any puppy this age she becomes overstimulated with young kids however dog savvy teenagers would be fine. Vada's brother Leo is in foster on a farm and is thriving. She would likely also suit this. Vada, like her brother Leo just need someone who is willing to spend the time with her, developing a bond and guide her as she grows into the a well rounded family companion we know she will be. This is the age group we see so many people give up on their dogs but if they just gave them that few more months of time, patience and training then they would have been rewarded with an amazing dog. Vada needs her person that will help her blossom. If you would like to know more about Vada or think you might be the right fit for her, please send us a private message and we will get in touch. URGENT HELP ❤ PLEASE SHARE - We feel so bad for continuously asking for urgent help but unfortunately with so many dogs needing help to find new homes, getting them all desexed or coming into care due to neglect, human error and abuse we have no other options. We just don't have the funds to be able to purchase what is needed. This gorgeous boy Gus came into care of his incredible foster family in mid December last year. He was an incredibly scared dog with major anxiety and a huge fear of men. He was scared of everything, even his own shadow and it has taken the stability, love and patience of his foster mum and family to help him to start to come out of his shell. Unfortunately after his recent desexing and his family going back to school and work, Gus's seperation anxiety has caused him to become destructive when left alone even for short periods of time. We are urgently seeking an extra large dog kennel and run for Gus to be safe in for short periods of time when his foster family need to shoot out. Their home unfortunately can't take much more of the destruction so even if a kennel and run can be lent until we find a better solution, would be so hugely appreciated. It will need to be strong enough for him to not chew his way out. Thank you for any help we can get. We just want to be able to continue helping his foster family heal the damage that was done to him in his previous homes and give him the best life he deserves ❤

KITTY UPDATE ❤️ PLEASE SHARE - In the heart of our rescue, stories like Kitty's remind us of the profound connections that form between humans and animals. Currently, Kitty is flourishing under the care of our dedicated foster, Mikayla. Her own one-year-old Furever rescue, Vadar—a big, fluffy, and loving boy—has taken on the role of Kitty's guardian. Kitty has made significant progress and is now able to toilet independently. However, the road to recovery is ongoing. Mikayla tirelessly provides round the clock care, all while managing her full-time job and her own animals. It's this compassion and dedication that keep us volunteers behind the scenes fighting for those who don't have a voice. We are often the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff, striving for change ❤️

KITTY ❤️ PLEASE SHARE - Update on wee kitty. His amazing foster Mikayla has given us an update. Kitty is a boy!! He is doing very well, gaining weight and constantly hungry. He cries when not being held and is always looking to feed. Kitty is very grateful to everyone who donated funds towards his care. We are still in desperate need of cat litter. Donations can be left at Animates Invercargill and Petsmart Invercargill. Next update on Kitty in a few days. ❤️

KITTY ❤️ PLEASE SHARE - A massive thank you to Amber, who found this baby kitty after following a weak crying under a pile of iron. Sadly, there is no mother cat, and after extensive searching, no other babies were found. A huge thank you to our amazing Mikayla who dropped everything to help foster kitty. Kitty is approximately 6 days old, eyes are not quite open, and ears are still closed. Kitty is feeding well and toileting with help. We are needing help with kitten formula and funds for future vet care for Kitty. We will be doing regular updates on progress for Kitty. We will post our account details in the comments. Please use kitty as a reference. Being a registered charity, any donations over $5, qualifies for a tax receipt. Please private message us if you have any kitten formula, wet kitten food/mouse or litter. This wee soul is in the Invercargill area ❤️

KENZIE ❤ PLEASE SHARE - Kenzie is number 2 of the lovely Timaru Pound pups that came into our care a few weeks ago. Her sister Tia is now on trial in her special home so its Kenzies turn. Kenzie is likely a Staffy X and is approximately 6 months old. Shes an energetic girl who is very playful and loves her Jack Russell foster brother. She is a very quirky girl, a bit of a dork and loves frolicking in water. Kenzie is learning to love human contact and love tasty treats. She has basic commands like sit and lie down. Ideally we would like to see her go to a home where she gets one on one training. She is an intelligent girl who needs to find her special person she can bond with who will love her and look after her forever. Kenzie has had her first vaccinations, up to date with worming, and will be rehomed on a desexing contract. She is currently located in Balclutha. THRIVING PUPPY UPDATE <3 When newborn pups come to us needing help due to their mum struggling - whether it's not having enough milk or other reasons - the stress can be overwhelming. Our priority is always finding the best solution to give them the best possible start. Coordinating their care and moving them to foster homes takes a village, and we want to start by thanking you all for sharing and tagging our posts. Your support brings in a flood of offers to help, and we are deeply grateful. To those who have reached out with offers of assistance - thank you! There are some truly wonderful people out there with the biggest hearts. A special thank you to Cilla and her family - you are angels to these wee souls. Hand-feeding these tiny pups is no easy task, especially since hungry pups want milk on demand! Then there is monitoring quantities of milk intake, and checking on the weaker pup in the litter. Cilla rescued Lulu recently to give her a better life and Lulu has taken on a motherly role to the pups, cleaning and nurturing them, such a beautiful act of love, dogs just know instinctively when vulnerable pups need a mum. These pups are getting the best start, plus they have 3 other collies to learn from too. We couldn’t do this without you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you <3
