PHOBE ❤️ PLEASE SHARE - Phoebe is 20 months old. She hasn't had much interaction with other animals, but in the interactions she has had in the past,she gets very excited and jumpy. With the proper training, I can see her as a very good dog. She knows basic commands, eg, sit. Will sit and wait patiently for her food. She is good with kids and will let them pat her but does get very excited (due to lack of training). She is a lovely natured dog. .She is desexed and vaccinated. She is a border collie cross. MAISE & BOY BOY ❤ PLEASE SHARE - These two sweet dogs are brother and sister searching for their forever home through no fault of their own. They've grown up around children and are great with cats. Both dogs are naturally playful and would thrive in an active household that can match their high energy levels and need for regular exercise. They love playtime and do need ongoing training and regular stimulation. Though they are initially cautious around larger dog breeds, they quickly warm up once they feel safe and secure. Maise and Boy Boy are 2.5 years old, in good health, and are registered and chipped. They will be placed on our desexing list. They are located in Southland and are fully toilet trained. We would prefer to find them a home together if possible. However, if we must separate them, we will consider homes that are suitable for each of them individually. DIESEL ❤ PLEASE SHARE - Diesels family have come to the hardest decision to part ways with their beloved beautiful boy.
Diesel is a 2 and a half year old cattle/bulldog. He is up to date with his vaccines/microchipped and he is fixed.
He's a quirky and silly boy who loves a good pat and belly rub. He’s good with other dogs (plays rough) but doesn't get along with cats. Would be best in a home with older children only.
He wouldn’t suit living in town as he is a big boy and quite fast on his feet. Having space for him to stretch his legs would be ideal. It would be good for Diesel to go to a home that has experience with larger breeds.

JB ❤️ PLEASE SHARE - JB is a lovely girl who we estimate to be about 3 years old. She is ready for her forever home and would thrive in a calm environment, making her an ideal companion for a flat dweller, single person, or seniors. We're unsure how she would interact with children, she is used to dogs but isn't particularly fond of them.

FOSTERS WANTED ❤ PLEASE SHARE – looking for Fosters in the Clutha District area. There just doesn't seem to be any quiet time of the year anymore and we are getting messaged constantly about kittens, cats, puppies and dogs needing new homes. This can be for a variety of reasons but often times its due to moving to a rental that doesn't allow animals, owners developing health issues, experiencing financial difficulties and so much more. We are very happy to help them, desex them and get the vet care when needed, but we can’t do it without foster homes. Fostering is a great way to have a pet without the commitment. Everything is supplied while the animal is in foster - crates, bedding, bowls, food, and toys. All we ask is you treat the cat/dog, kitten or pup just like it is part of the family and handle them with loving care. Please message us if you are able to help ❤

KITTENS ❤ PLEASE SHARE- We are looking for loving forever homes for five adorable siblings, all approximately 6 months old. Rusty, the male, loves pats and smooches and craves a lot of attention. Mia is a bit quieter than her brother but still enjoys smooches. Chica can be a bit standoffish at first, but once she warms up to you, she's all over you. Silver, the lighter of the four sisters, loves playing with water in the water bowl! and enjoys pats on her terms. Lastly, Coco is a bit camera shy, she likes to explore her surroundings and loves playing with her siblings. All five siblings love their food and enjoy playing with each other, though they also appreciate some alone time. They are all desexed, wormed, and flea treated and they have had their first vaccine. They are also litterbox trained. Any of these sweet kittens would make a great addition to a family home, preferably one without dogs, as the girls are not as keen on dogs as Rusty is. SASS ❤ PLEASE SHARE - Hello everyone, it is with a very heavy heart that I am reaching out to you. Unfortunately, I am very unwell and unable to give Sass the best life she deserves. Sass is nearly 7 years old and is a rescue. She is microchipped and while she is generally not the best with other cats, she won’t hurt them and is good with other animals once she knows them. Sass is very much an outdoor cat but loves to come inside at night for a snuggle—on her terms, of course. I'm not sure how good she would be with kids. THANK YOU <3 WOW, we are so very grateful to the awesome staff at the Waikiwi Tavern (Official) they are a godsend at this time of the year, they dedicate their final jingo night of the year to Furever Homes, the prizes are fantastic, well organised and patronised! THANK YOU everyone involved... they raised $3140 to help us desex and help babies like this wee soul, how cute are the ears!! We have nearly hit 100 kittens in care over the past week, prices have increase and is putting the pressure on. This is a huge, huge help. We will have kittens coming up for adoption soon and will do individual posts for them as soon as they are weaned and have had their vet work done <3
UNCLAIMED <3 PLEASE SHARE - This lovely big boy has been at our house for a few weeks now, he's been here the whole time and hasn't left. I have made posts to ask our community if anyone knows where he belongs. He's a big cat who looks well-fed but doesn't seem to have a home at the moment. I'm worried as I have a dog who loves our cats but not stray cats. He's super friendly and loves a cuddle and loves his food! He's desexed so he must be someone's lost pet. TOBY ❤ PLEASE SHARE - To know him is to love him. There is so many parts of rescue that tears your heart completely to pieces. Seeing first hand the separation of mothers and their offspring is the hardest part to carry. Some say we are putting human emotions onto the animals and in reality it is not like that for them. We disagree, and from a place of observation and experience we see the sadness and the desperation, mothers frantically searching for their babies and pups yearning for comfort that only a mother can give. Toby is our latest rescue who needs more than most. Toby is deaf, he misses his mum and her guidance, he is alone and is dealing with so much uncertainty. He has attached himself to one of the dogs in his foster home and sadly it will break his heart to leave her when he is rehomed. We want to thank Brenda who donates weekly to Furever homes and has done so since we began the rescue, she has the kindest heart and walks this earth doing what she can to protect the animals. Brenda named this wee soul Toby and her donation is going to Toby's food and vet care and although he will never hear his name being called, he will always be protected and loved for the rest of his life and we will do our best to give him the comfort he seeks. We feel lucky that we can help make their lives a little better and that they will know love. Our goal is to get Toby some professional help on his journey and to do that we are putting a call out for crowd-funding to make this possible, if anyone can help with a couple of dollars towards his rehabilitation, please use our account Furever Homes Westpac 03-1750-0845349-000 and put Toby in the reference. FERN & WEEMAN <3 PLEASE SHARE - These two beautiful pets and their owner are about to become homeless, in a week. WEEMAN the goat thinks he's a dog! he is a wether, very friendly and it is extremely hard for their owner to let them go. Fern is loved very much by her owner who is now desperate to find a loving home for her. She has a lovely nature, she is a chocolate lab and would be better in a farm situation if possible. She is good with stock as she has been living on a farm most of her life, she is great with other dogs, horses etc. She loves kids and her goat mate! She is desexed, registered and microchipped. EWAN <3 PLEASE SHARE - This lovely old dog sadly lost his original owner and now his current owner, he is about 11 years old and is too lovely to be PTS due to circumstances beyond his control. Ewan is the most placid lovely old boy, he is a staffy x and is in good health, he would suit a range of situations. An older person who needs company or a family with other pets and kids. Ewan really is a sweetheart and would make someone a lovely and loyal friend, he is gentle, affectionate, obedient and very chilled out. SHINE ON LITTLE ONE ❤ The hardest post to ever write. Wee Pickles diagnosis has come back and the vet suspects he may have Hemophilia A or B (a genetic condition meaning he lacks a blood clotting factor). He had a small seisure recently and the vet thinks it could have been the result of a bleed on the brain. They said all they can do is symptom treat, so every time he bumps his leg, they treat it, but it’s the worry of a bleed in his lung or his other organs. It’s also very worrying when it comes to his baby teeth falling out soon and the bleeding which will come with it. There is a huge risk to get him castrated, or any other future procedure he may need. We wish for an angel with a magic wand to make it all better, our magic is all used up and on Wednesday wee Pickles will be put to sleep. Everyone has cried a river, this is not the news we wanted for this beautiful soul. Your heart says no, no, we can help him, but logic jumps in and says it's the best thing for Pickles, then you question, is it? is it really, a spark of hope - surely we can do something! then there's that heavy feeling of knowing we can't. The emotional roller-coaster is constantly crashing and reviving, his coat is shiny, he looks so healthy, he seems happy, he is eating, but the outside is not reflecting the inside and his inner turmoil. Jaimee and Adorabella who rescued him spent a day with him to say their goodbyes and they made this wee slide show. Dearest Pickles, we tried so, so, hard to fix you, we are sorry you are so broken, we love you, so many people love you, you touched our hearts and if love could heal you, you would be the healthiest little pupa on this planet. For those who love - love lasts forever ❤
FLUFFIES FOR FLUFFIES ❤ PLEASE SHARE - We want to thank the team at Fluffies for Fluffies for sending us these awesome scrunchies full of catnip! Hopefully these will help other cats and kittens who are a bit shy... they certainly have helped our semi-wilds come out of their shell, they love playing with them, chasing them and it's making life a lot easier for our fosters! EMERGENCY HELP <3 PLEASE SHARE - If anyone is in need of food, blankets, or a safe dry bed for their animals please message us. It's been a hell of a day for many people who have had to leave their homes and for the animals who have been misplaced. We have supplies on hand, offers of temporary housing and grazing for horses, lifestyle block sheep and cows in Wallacetown, Myross Bush and some areas of Southland. Please don't be afraid to ask for help, or spread the word to those who may not have Facebook, we are only too happy to help and try and take some of the pressure off pet owners at this time. HELP ❤ PLEASE SHARE – We have had another litter of kittens come to us in desperate need of help. There are 5 and they are the bravest of souls for surviving this far with infected eyes, fleas from head to toe, full of worms and severely fly blown around their bottoms. Kittens this little do try to survive on their own, however, without their mothers to clean them and teach them they eventually succumb to long and very painful deaths. We take our hats off to the vets and nurses who shaved their bottoms so they could be treated, the smell alone was horrendous. We need your help through crowd-funding to help them, by putting in a few dollars each it soon adds up and we can pay for their antibiotic treatments, desexing, diet needs and kitty litter. We are not funded and while we don’t mind putting in the ground work we do need financial help. THANK YOU ❤ Girl has made a full recovery and we have some amazing people to thank... Firstly the vets who treated her and didn't give up on her, the first few hours were vital and there was a period of time when we didn't think she would make it. The vets know Girl and were appalled like we all were that something like this could happen to such a beautiful loving dog, so they very kindly covered some of her cost, meaning the money we all contributed through crowdfunding has covered her full vet account!!!!!! To everyone who donated funds, we can't thank you enough, Girl's family are overwhelmed and very grateful for the help, an unexpected vet account was going to be extremely hard on them - here she is today, along with some photos of her recovery, such a brave wee soul, THANK YOU ALL ❤
