What an amazing day at the Waikato Area Pony Clubs Gold Cup!

Our Parenga Pony Club riders had lots of fun participating in games and jumping events with friends!

Our game, Mug Shuffle, ran well with several members taking turns, thanks to Aunty Kelly for being the chief organiser, and parents sharing the job! 🙌

We learned so much and had tons of fun!

A huge thank you to the WAPC organising committee, our wonderful parents, families, and supporters, and a special shoutout to Premier Horse Transport for safely delivering 7 of our horses and ponies to the event and back! 🚛❤️

Here a few of our photos

Can’t wait for our next event! 🐎✨

Parenga Pony Club’s DC is currently travelling with New Zealand Pony Clubs team for the China International Exchange with 5 countries from New Zealand 🇳🇿 Australia 🇦🇺 South Africa 🇿🇦 Ireland 🇮🇪 and China 🇨🇳.

Follow New Zealand Pony Clubs for updates.

Huge thank you to our member Ada Chen for all her local knowledge and help!

Another big day with the China Pony Club International Exchange Teams!

We explored a market and the Huxiangshi Bridge, the only ancient single-arched stone bridge in the Pingjiang area of Suzhou. This was the last day of China’s public holiday week and people were everywhere.

After, we headed to the Saga Pony Club's Suzhou Olympic Sport Centre for lunch. We made dumplings and viewed the Pony Cub. It was great to watch some lessons with both their coaches and Lorraine Phillips (NZPCA) and Carol Hobson (PCA)

We finished the day with a feedback Q&A session with Saga PC management, parents, and riders followed by a delicious traditional Chinese BBQ.

Again, a huge thank you to the China Pony Club and Saga Pony Club for such a wonderful experience!
Tomorrow we head to a new city Xi’an.

Thank you for signing Lorraine!

Lorraine Phillips DC Parenga Pony Club and New Zealand Pony Clubs Training and Development Lead signed the Vulnerable Road User petition.

Petition is the first step we must take to having all riders recognised by the government and councils as Vulnerable Road Users.

Riders are currently recognised as OTHER ROAD USERS which means trails, paths, etc are created without us in mind and roading legislation and education do not cater to protect our community. To be recognised we must be recognised as VULNERABLE ROAD USERS.

We need unity / kotahitanga now.

Please support, sign and share before 14 October

Petition will be presented at Parliament 15 October
