🌟 Calling all dressage enthusiasts! 🌟

The New Zealand Pony Club Association (NZPCA) is thrilled to be a part of the International Alliance Virtual Dressage Show 2024! This is your chance to showcase your skills on the global stage, right from your local arena.

We’re inviting expressions of interest from our talented members to represent NZPCA. We have spots for up to 24 riders across six classes, with preference given to those who shined at the NZPCA Dressage Championship 2024.

They walked the cross-country course for tomorrows (Saturday UK time) XC event, matched up with our horses, and visited the kennels.

🎉🐴 What an incredible day at Parenga Pony Club's Warm-Up Training Day! 🐴🎉

We had a fantastic mix of Dressage, Show Jumping, and an exciting Obstacle Course, all set in the heart of the track. The ground was perfect, and the atmosphere was filled with fun, friendship, and confidence-building moments. 🌟

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this day so special, including our dressage judges Joan Matheson, Leanne Smith, and guest Show jumping Coach, Rebecca Loyd.

Our horse riding camps are OSCAR approved, meeting government standards for health and safety. They are run by qualified, experienced horse riding staff and approved volunteers. Key staff are first aid trained and onsite throughout the entire camp.

Portia Matthews shows us how girls can do anything!

Another lovely coach who worked at Phillips Equine.

Completed her full A certificate (A & H level) and continued learning and improving!

Portia Matthews has had a great start to the jumps season and secured two wins on the weekend for trainer Mark Oulaghan including the Waikato Hurdle on Berry The Cash 🤩

The jumps jockey premiership leader with 11 wins has had great success on the son of Jakkalberry, winning five races including the Grand National Hurdle and Manawatu Hurdle.

The standout hurdler added another feature to his ever-growing list of achievements with a dominant victory in the Waikato Hurdle at the hands of Matthews 🏆

“He’s incredible, and we haven’t seen the end of it now,” she said.

Less than two hours later Matthews and Oulaghan teamed up again with stablemate Super Spirit who prevailed in a stirring contest to win his maiden steeplechase 🙌
