It's been a sad old time over Christmas for our family. Our beautiful girl, Bee, was put to sleep on 26 November. She had a progressive neurological disease which had affected her mobility to the point she could no longer enjoy her walks. On the morning of the 26th, she struggled to walk from the bedroom to the back door, she lay down and couldn't get back up. My son, Caleb, lifted her onto her bed and calmed her while I called our vet. She slipped away peacefully after enjoying a big bowl of mince and pasta, her favorite food (and cheese, she loved cheese).
She was not a noisy dog, yet the house seems so quiet without her. We miss her terribly, but we're so grateful to have had her in our family. How lucky were we?
