Archie ⭐️

We were delighted to see Archie last week for a routine medication check-up.

Archie was a familiar face at the clinic throughout April following his diagnosis with masticatory myositis—an uncommon, immune-mediated inflammatory condition that affects the muscles responsible for chewing.

Thanks to a prompt diagnosis and treatment plan from our veterinarian, Tania, along with the dedicated care of Archie’s owners, he has made a full recovery—and is back to being his cheeky, playful self! 🐶🎾

Meet Ishe 💕

This adorable six-week-old kitten was found as a stray on a farm and has now landed herself in a loving new home 🏡

She came in for her first kitten check and made herself right at home — curling up in the hood of her new owner's jumper 🥹💗

We love seeing little ones like Ishe getting the care and comfort they deserve.

Meet Lucifer 💙

This stunning two-year-old Maine C**n recently spent some time in hospital with us after arriving with a fractured hind leg.

He was in for pain relief and supportive care while waiting for surgery, and we’re happy to report his fracture repair went well. He’s now on the road to recovery and recently popped in for a post-op check — looking as regal as ever 😻

We’re so pleased to see him recovering well!

What are pre-anaesthetic blood tests, and why do we recommend them?

Before any anaesthetic procedure, your pet has a full physical exam 🩺— but there are things we simply can’t pick up from the outside. That’s where pre-anaesthetic bloods come in.🩸

These optional but highly recommended tests (especially for senior pets) help us make safer, more informed decisions.

We check:

🩸Kidney and liver function

🩸Blood sugar levels

🩸Key blood proteins

🩸Red & white blood cells and platelets

These results help us tailor your pet’s anaesthetic plan 📋— and sometimes, like in Freddie’s case, they give us early insight that leads to further investigation before we proceed.

Meet Freddie 😺

This sweet 13-year-old gentleman recently came in for an abdominal ultrasound after some consistent elevations in his liver enzymes were picked up on pre-anaesthetic blood tests.🩸

He was the perfect patient – calm, curious, and soaking up all the love from our receptionist Jo 🩵. The two of them shared a peaceful moment by the window, keeping an eye on what was happening outside in the carpark.

In Freddie’s case, those blood results gave us valuable insight and allowed us to investigate further before any procedures went ahead.

We love seeing our senior patients thriving and getting the care they deserve!

Socialising, sniffing, and a whole lot of fun! 🐾
The latest Puppy Preschool stars – Apricot, Bailey, Luna, and Canella – learned new skills and made some adorable new friends.

Puppy Preschool, run by the fantastic Chenay, is such a great start for building confidence and positive experiences. We’re so proud of their progress and can’t wait to see them grow into confident little canines!

Puppy Preschool is designed for pups aged 8 to 16 weeks and runs over four fun-filled weeks. Your puppy just needs to have had their first vaccination to join in the fun!
