🐰 Wellington Rabbit Rescue are closed for Easter 🐰

While we will continue to be available for the bunnies in our care (and the amazing people who love them), we will be taking a weekend off from messages so that we can spend some much-needed time with our families!

Before we sign off, just a quick reminder that if you see any sales listings like these ones, please politely report them through the relevant channels (example: TradeMe or Facebook Marketplace). And if you see businesses or organisations giving away live rabbits in their Easter promotions, let us know!

As we enter Easter weekend, we know there are many rabbits who will now be facing the possibility of a life in a cage, only to be forgotten... Or worse.

Rabbits are not toys. They are sentient beings who deserve so much more than to be used as an Easter prop! But you aren't the audience who need to hear this message, so we'll leave it there.

Thank you for everything you do to advocate for rabbits! Enjoy your long weekend, and we'll see you next week 🐰
