Our wagger of the week is back, letβs get to know Nico, who was named Nico as he was brought home when Nico Porteous won the Olympic gold medal in freestyle skiing!
My official name is Nico but I also answer to Nico Pawseous, Puppy, and Neeks.
I am a 3 year old Staffy / Blue Heeler X (with a few other working dog breeds in the mix) and I was born in Rangiora.
My humans are Heidi and Duncan and I live above Mt Aspiring College, you'll see me sitting on my lounger in the sun and I'll never miss seeing a human or dog walking past.
Some of my favourite things are chasing balls reallllllllllly fast, following the sun around the house, swimming and I am a champion snorer.
I even have my own seat at the dinner table.
Like most of my other dog pals, I am not a fan of going to the vet who have described me as 'not the bravest dog'. I am actually super brave but I just choose not to be when I go there.
I am also a happy howler, and I have the best singing voice in the whole of Wanaka, maybe even the world. I like to sing along with the family on birthdays and I can match any siren or alarm I hear, anywhere, anytime!
I have been running with the dog squad for 5 months, and love racing the fast dogs for sticks and pinecones, in between sporadic wrestling matches!
The bridge where wagging your tail is a compulsory element to crossing it effectively.
Rolling into the weekend like..
Max was putting in the hard yards for the crew today! π
