Wagger of the week is back with the girl who puts the spring in springer - Poppy!

My official name is Poppy but I also answer to Pops, Pookie and Pooks! I also have an alter ego which I get called when I'm not my usual angel self, Gretchen the Gremlin! I was named Poppy as a tribute to my humans former family springer Polly.

I am a 10 month old Springer Spaniel and I was born in Darfield.

Some of my favourite things are playing fetch, chasing bunnies, swimming and ROCKS! Show me a rock in your hand and I'll do anything you want me to do!

I am super happy and sociable, except when NZ Post knocks on my door! I will need to give you permission to enter my fortress!

If there was an award for worlds best sniffer I would be nominated for sure! One time my ball rolled down a rabbit hole and everyone thought ir was lost. My nose is so impressive I managed to track it underground down the rabbit tunnel where I then dug it out a few metres away from the original hole, where I GOT MY BALL BACK!

I joined the Dog Squad last month and was an instant hit with the chase crew and the swim squad! Olive is my favourite fight club opponent and the rabbit hunters also love me as I can find them with my amazing nose and show them where to dig!

This week 3 new excited recruits joined the squad! Leo the Golden Retriever, Gilby the Ridgey and Poppy the very springy Springer all had great debuts, and the half the lake got emptied during swim squad on Thursday 🏊🐾 ☀️

This week we welcomed Sam the golden lab to the squad as we enjoyed some spring sunshine on our backs! ☀️ 🐕 🐾

Last weekend we had a Vizsla Party! If you couldn't see us you could hear us, and there wasn't a second of rest to be had! 🎉🐾

What a great week to farewell October! We kicked it off with a play in the snow, then soaked up the sunshine and epic views and finished the week with a Vizsla party! 🎈🐾

VIZSLA PARTY! We have a couple of spots left for our Vizsla party on Saturday morning! Just $10 which includes pickup and drop off in Wanaka and an off trail adventure, and you don't need to be a squad member to join, all vizslas welcome!
