Had a surprise addition today with Digby tagging along! He did really well on his recall and is apparently absolutely knackered! My work here is done!

Mahu Mutts is looking into starting an on-leash Sunday Pack Walk!

Walking on-leash as a pack is a beneficial way for your dog to bond with their peers, socialise and exercise. Sunday walks would be for busy humans but also those who just want to chill. These are uncertain times so we hope this service can help appease your pups.

Floki and Orca! These 2 got on so well this week, they were so tired at the end they played while lying down! Such beautiful nature's in these pups!

So many pups! You will have to excuse my photos for this one! Either way, everyone had an absolute ball! Bracken who is our newest Mahu Mutt is a beautiful playful and cheeky golden retriever played so well with Zoe!
Floki gave Xena a run for her money and raced back and forth at full speed!
And even Stella who can be quite shy came to play before going back to sniff the entire forest!
I will step up my game on the photos and bring on the next pack walk!

Haven't posted in a while!
Tovy(black) and Monty(brown) are our new Mahu Mutts, they are very different and they can compliment each other well but being mischievous brothers means they can also egg each other on. Tovys recall has improved so much and Montys impulse control has also come leaps and bounds, plenty more work to be done but they are smart young boys and have already come a long way!

Had a pack walk with Floki, Zoe and the new Mahu Mutts Tovy and Monty! Everyone did really well, playing chase, Floki and Tovy were showing off their speed and they all loved having a swim except Zoe who watched in amazement! We can't wait for the next one!

Matilda and Zoe had their weekly play date and the excitement when Matilda arrives is sometimes too much for Zoe who does a little wee! They are a match made in heaven, bring on more play dates!

We hope you, your family and your pups are all doing well while we're in Level 3.

We are thrilled to announce that from next week, we will finally be providing pack walks! Just in time as I'm sure everyone is getting restless!

We are starting with 2 walks next week.
Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon.

Pick ups will be contactless and masks will be worn!

Pack walks are $50 for a half day, $85 for dogs of the same household or who live on the same street.

Dogs must be booked in by this Sunday for next week!

Matilda and Zoe had a playdate yesterday and loved it! These 2 are high energy and won't stop until they both collapse in a heap! Can't wait for the next one!

First walk with Pumba and Stella yesterday!
They were so well behaved and very keen! Stella made it her mission to sniff wherever we went and Pumba supervised and had some treats! These two are very different but the best of friends! It was a pleasure to take them out!
I think Stella will be joining us for some socialisation but I will have to get her to stop for a photoshoot!

This walk can be with another Mahu Mutt or a solo walk depending on socialization! It's really up to you!

We are back in business!
There are still some restrictions but we are good to start walking the Mahu Mutts again!

I hope everyone managed to stay sane and safe during level 4 and are ready to get back into it!
I've done enough DIY to last the rest of the year!

There are mixed messages regarding what we can and can't do so we have decided to just do on leash walks with one or two dogs at a time.
Contactless pick up/drop off, I will be wearing a mask and using my own leashes.

Meet and greets unfortunately will have to wait until level 2 but get in touch so we are ready at level change in a couple weeks 🤞

I realise some are still working from home and are able to walk their dogs in level 3 but we are here to help those going back to work or those who just need a break from their pups (no judgement here 😉)

We will pretty much be back to normal in level 2 so if you would rather wait just let us know.

Todays activity is for the brain and the nose!
If you have a muffin tin at home, put treats in the bottom and toys and balls over the top of them and let your pup scavenge for food!
If you don't have a muffin tin, simply grab a plastic container and place a piece of paper over the top and hold with tape or an elastic band. Make a hole in the paper and put treats inside the container. Your pup has to break the paper to reach the treats!

Have fun, stay safe and keep your dogs on a leash to protect yours and other bubbles!

I've been told to wait for level 3 and level 3 business operation rules as they may differ from last level 3.

In the meantime, I am going to post an activity or game to do with your dog during level 4 lockdown every day!

With so much time on our hands(essential workers excluded) its time to find new and fun ways to occupy your Mahu Mutts!

Put your pup in a room where they can't see what you're up to.
Take a handful of treats about the size of a pea and place them all over the house in nooks and crannies until your hand is empty.
Release your pup and tell them to go find!!!

Some might need a helping hand for the first few but they will love going hunting for those treats!!

For those food driven dogs, kibble can be used and for the toy driven, their favorite toy!!

Kobe and Orca went out together yesterday and have become besties!! They were having so much fun, they decided to ignore me and just play together so no photos unfortunately! Next time, we will work on recall more and go from there. Despite this hitch, I'm glad these 2 boys got on so well and will be seeing more of each other in the future!
