Good morning my fur baby family 🐾
Unfortunately there will be an interruption to the service I provide.
I need to find an alternative place to groom very soon.

I will contact you all directly but I am hoping to still provide a limited service.

You patience and understanding will be grately appreciated.

Spent my day yesterday learning animal first aid with PET First Aid & Training. We had a live dog to find the pulse on the back leg. Some bandaging was practiced on human hands to replicate a paw keeping the front pads open to make sure blood flow gets to the paw and the bandage is not too tight.
I hope I will never need it but I will do my best if it’s needed.

I have always doubted myself and my grooms.
Just having a look back at when I started. Thank goodness there is an improvement not the greatest photos but I always forget to take them 😊
I only have 2 poodle clients that have any style don’t think it’s too bad.
We are only as good as the dogs we have experience with so I am always trying to improve!

As winter fast approaches I wanted to talk about grooming at home.

Many of you want fur left long as it get colder. This doesn’t mean that you need to be regularly brushing dogs at home.
Wet and muddy conditions that your fur babies are walking in can lead to knots and matts if you are not on top of your game.

A matted coat won’t help your dog to stay warm, in fact it can be very uncomfortable and may cause nasty skin conditions. When a matted coat gets wet it holds water and constricts, which will then pull on the skin.

If you want me to keep the coat longer you will need to brush regularly and if they are dirty, bathing in between grooms may be needed.

I will be applying extra charges for dematting and drying a longer coat is more time consuming so may incur extra fees.

I will not be tackling extreme Matt as this is cruel to your dog so they may need a shorter coat.

2-6 Queen St is our new home. We haven’t welcomed many yet but I think they are liking the deck to hangout on! 🐾

As yet the bath is not ready so only able to trim clean dogs. I will keep you updated and contact you individually.
