Goats all behaved themselves, the two in milk does both placed in their age and udder classes which is hard for the Nubians against the more dairy breeds. And the young stock all went super relieving 3 x reserve champions between them. Great comments from the judge though 😁
The goats will all be in the livestock pavilion tomorrow on display so come see us if your at the Show! (minus Mad Myrtle who just doesn’t cope with the public that well)

Still have a few goats looking for homes ❤️
A few yearlings both in milk and dry as well as couple of older does in milk (a Saanen and an appendix Nubian). Also could possibly be persuaded to part with a doe kid or two to the right home.

Considering selling one of our bucks as they are father and son and we don’t need both. Arohagoats Yemmie 2018 born buck, super to handle a real gentleman! Shown successfully last season at the couple of shows that weren’t cancelled, including Champion Buck at the NZ Ag show. We have kept quite a few of his daughters from last season and have more kids due by him this coming spring. We don’t really have the facilities to keep multiple bucks unfortunately, so thought we would offer him up, 5️⃣5️⃣0️⃣

Super well run show on Thursday for the NZ Agricultural show. Girls all behaved themselves and placed not too badly. But the stars were the two boys! Father and Son both have such gentle natures as well 🙂

First show of the season done and dusted! Everyone behaved themselves we had some fantastic helpers having their first go at showing goats 😁 some big classes and still managed to bring a couple of wides home. Arohagoats Yemmie got Champion Buck and Devoux Mortimer got Reserve Champion Buck kid can’t wait to see how this guy will fill out as he is an absolute tank already at only 3 months of age. Was for sale but we are now tempted to hold onto him a bit longer!

Last doe has kidded late last night/early morning two whopping kids. Poor girl needed a lot of help and we are both amazed we managed to pull both kids out alive. Vee is exhausted today but is going to be fine after some rest and TLC ❤️
