黑澤巨蜥❤

In the border area between Thailand and Malaysia historically there was a story of black dragons, these proved to be a Black water monitor (Varanus salvator macromaculatus), a population of melanistic water monitors that are also known as Varanus komaini.
These are giant lizards and actually in the top 3 of the world. Apex predators they hunt fish, crustaceans, mammals, reptiles and will eat carrion. Endangered due to monitor leather trade and as pets.
