With life comes changes. With interest on horses now I have moved away from my rabbits. I have an Ashford Kiwi II wheel, like new, with many accessories. Also an antique wheel that works but needs some love. Also 21 gallon size bags of Angora wool, mostly Giant but also some Satin and English. All for sale if anyone is interested.

These are my F2 project keepers at 7 weeks old, a chestnut buck and a REW doe. They are 75% Giant Angora and 25% New Zealand and their body type is already looking very solid, with wool better than I expected for an F2 litter. When they get a little older they will both be bred with giants to make my F3 litters.

Coco was an F1 born here and is part of a project to try and get meatier and larger Giant Angoras, she is 50% Giant Angora and 50% New Zealand and at 6 months old she is HUGE! She was bred with a Giant Angora and just had her first F2 litter (75% Giant Angora, 25% New Zealand). She had 10 kits, 5 of them survived the first week of a young new mom with a big litter, and we have 3 red eyed white and 2 chestnut babies doing great.

Went to the Spring Fling rabbit show in Martin, MI yesterday. Brought home 1st place costume contest, BOB Giant Angora, BOB French Angora, and 5th place in showmanship. It was exciting to be able to do showmanship and costume, as well as get comments on his strengths and weaknesses as a Giant from an ARBA judge with our chestnut French x Giant F1 jr buck.

It was a long drive (over 3 hours) but had fun at the Greenville show with a jr Giant doe and a sr French doe.

We currently have 3 REW purebred Giant Angora babies who are a few weeks old (being raised by a foster Rex doe), 4 REW and 2 chestnut babies who are 1/2 French Angora and 1/2 Giant Angora who are a couple weeks old, and 6 brand new black purebred Giant Angoras. Some are already spoken for and we will be retaining a couple, but let me know if there is anything that anyone may be interested in. The purebred Giant Angoras will be $150 with pedigrees and the French/Giant Angora crosses will be $75 with lineage paperwork. Pedigrees include Purple Door, Lonesome Pines, A Touch of Bunny, and more 🙂

I added an Angora goat to my herd! I got her from an auction in pretty bad shape. A hind end shave, a shower and blow dry really made a difference! Now for a deworming and some quality food to get her to a healthy weight. She is one of the sweetest goats I have ever met and just wants to be loved. So excited to add her beautiful mohair to my spinning!

This is the same beautiful fluffy rabbit that won best of breed at the show yesterday 🤣🤣🤣. Don’t mind my first attempt at shearing...she still has all her ni***es so I am considering it a success haha! Show season is over for the year and all of my Giant Angoras are shaved now, hopefully this girl took to her breeding and will be having babies in the next few weeks!
