Ramale ward in Kokopo Vunamami Urban Local Level Government is the leading White Copra Producer in East New Britain Province.

Thanks to the leadership of Mr. Herman Walvalu of Eden Sanctuary Integrated farm,every week Kokonas Industry Kokoporeisen's subsidiary, Coconut Resource Limited picks up over a tonne of palatable White Copra produce from Ramale ward for export.

With the constant supply CRL has agreed to pick up the White Copra from the farm gate at the same time making use of available banking services to transfer funds into farmers accounts on the spot.

There are six clusters with forthy farmers producing white copra on a daily basis.

With the aggregation of farmers and constant production of white copra, Mr Walvalu is confident his farmers have already met the world bank criteria through the PACD project of setting up a white copra mill for coconut 🥥 oil production.

With the Papua New Guinea Agriculture Commercialization and Diversification ( PACD- Cocoa Component )project under the Matching Grant component, Eden Sanctuary as a Producer Organisation under Women and Youth in Agriculture as lead partner is eligible to apply for the funding of a white copra mill.

The white copra mill will be value added which will see an increase in the current white copra price from two kina per kilo.

Do not hold yourself too much in your comfort zone, as it has some dangers that you need to be made aware of and here are these;

: You risk becoming stagnant and not growing personally or professionally.

Opportunities: You may miss out on new experiences, learning opportunities, and potential success.

of Innovation: Comfort zones can stifle creativity and innovation, hindering your ability to adapt to change.

Growth: Your skills and capabilities may plateau, preventing you from reaching your full potential.

: Over time, staying in your comfort zone can lead to regret for not taking risks or pursuing your dreams. Now that you still have the energy, money, network etc just go ahead and do a side hustle. You never know where that will take you to. Or remain and regretted, you should have started 10 years ago or when I had that windfall of K10,000 in my pocket. There is no right time, just start and progress.

To push yourself beyond your comfort zone is a game of achievers.

Over the years, we have found out in our line of business that most Papua New Guineans are timid people. They are shy to ask for things they want to know. Face to face or phone call communication is something we are not comfortable in using because of our timidness.
