Distemper was the caused of Bella’s death. According to the vet, it has no treatment and a small cahnce of survival. “Sa sampung a*o, isa o dalawa lang nakakasurvive” the vet explained. I was positive and hopeful that she was one of those lucky dogs who’s going to survive the virus. We were advised to gave her cold compress treatment and hoping for her to recover. I was praying every night asking for a miracle cause I don’t want to see her suffering. But He answered me by removing his pain and ends her painful journey. I did not question Him, Bella is no longer in pain, but I am. Ironically, I ask Him to wipe Bella’s pain and let me have it for her and He does. He wipe Bella’s pain and gave it to me. I am grieving with so much pain because I never had imagine that I had to lose her too fast. I miss her a lot. I wanna hug her and play with her.

Some might say, dogs are just dogs and there role is to become food (pulutan) for some. They’re just good as pet. But for some, they are more than that, they are family and when you lose a family member, you feel heart broken, and like a part of you had gone. For those who judge a dog owner being so emotional on passing of his dog, shame to you. Joking about its passing and dare to say “agbaredned ka met a” ”lamayam met” “ibitamun a”. How I wish nothing happens to your life as miserable as others had to face. It is not about how much you acquire your dogs nor how much you had spent for his foods and medications (including check ups) but its the joy and memories that you shared with them. You never know those things because you were never in that situation. Probably because you had no plans of having one but it doesn’t mean you have the right to make it as a joke. For fur parents, its not a good joke. You have your kids and we have them as ours. Its the same feeling as you lost your child. ”palitan mo na lang, bili ka ulit ng bago” What if you lost your child? Would you dare to hear from other people to make a new child and just replace him? Please be considerate with oir feelings as well. Respect and give us time to grieve and heal.
