With the relaxing music, gentle breeze and pleasant aroma inside the #PetSpa, these cats hardly realized their Full Grooming is done and they're ready to go home. ππ» #kingsroadvetclinic
This is the first time we've seen this much protozoa called #Giardia in a direct fecal smear. π© The cat was experiencing chronic diarrhea but generally looks okay from the outside.
Giardiasis is zoonotic, meaning humans can get it too from your pets.
Bring your pets to #kingsroadvetclinic if the need laboratory tests. π¬
This poor dog is showing classical signs of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV): Profuse eye and nose discharge, twitching (notice his forehead), coughing and hardening of the foot pads (because this virus is also called Hard Pad Disease). This is easily preventable by vaccination. But, there is hope when your dog is afflicted with this virus. Visit #kingsroadvetclinic for your treatment options.
You can actually hear the music playing in the background while your furkid is inside the #PetSpa. That green light is the ionizer that sterilizes the air by removing allergens such as pet dander, dust, mold and bacteria, leaving the skin healthier and fur shinier. #kingsroadvetclinic
Around 12 cases of painful and bloody urination in both cats and dogs were brought to #kingsroadvetclinic this December. And it's just the 8th day of the month. Most cases had stones or uroliths in the urine (see video). There are several reasons why this happens but please bring your pets to the clinic as soon as you see blood in the urine or straining, painful or inappropriate urination (for cats who pee outside their litterbox). There are no proven home remedies for stones in the bladder or uroliths.
#PetSpa will be on full swing soon! For now, here's a preview of #carathecockerspaniel enjoying the experience. β

We do house calls but only to deworm and vaccinate. If your pet is sick, we prefer that you bring them to the clinic as we have quick access to laboratory tests.
Meanwhile, here are the champion puppies we just dewormed and vaccinated via house call. You now see why it's so hard to take a decent picture of them. π #GoodVibes
Meet Sky, our Distemper survivor. He's one of our 19 confirmed cases these past two months. The number is high, it's almost an epidemic in Bacoor and nearby cities.
Notice how there's still involuntary twitching? That's just residual damage. He's very much okay for the most part and we'd take that anytime instead of giving up on the fight against this fatal virus. He's been through a lot of respiratory distress, eye and nasal discharges, numerous medications, but now he's bright, alert and back to chasing cats again.
Canine Distemper Virus is fatal and is easily preventable by vaccination. But if you see persistent eye and nose discharge, dry and cracking nose, and sudden twitching in your pets, bring them as soon as possible to our clinic before it's too late. Our treatment regimen has been successful so far in fighting off this fatal virus (that is, if you bring them during the early onset of signs) Don't give up on them just yet.
