“Hermaphrodite” or intersex Cat

Canni, a tortoiseshell Munchkin cat was brought in for a routine check up, upon closer inspection it was discovered that she had mixed reproductive organs ( a v***a and te**es). Although she was previously been thought to be male, it was suspected that she might be pregnant. Through ultrasound imaging it was confirmed that she was indeed pregnant!

Intersex condition in cats is rare and may arise from genetic mutations, chromosomal abnormalities or hormonal imbalances during the kitten’s development in the womb.

Her case is quite a surprise for us, have you seen one too?
