Ear Mites Infestation
.Ear mites infestation
Ear mites are usually found in the ear canal and can also live on the surface of the skin. They are highly contagious and can be transmitted directly from one animal to another. It is not usually visible to the naked eye but can be seen by ear swabbing and under the use of microscope.
Common signs of ear mite infestations: ear irritation leading to scratching and head shaking, dark waxy discharge from the ear, hair loss due to scratching, and may also cause aural hematoma.
If any of the following is observed, bring your pets immediately to the Vet for proper examination and treatment.
