Losts dogs, endangered ducks, and a lonesome rabbit all needed saving this year, whether from us humans or their animal friends. Thankfully, countless rescuers, adopters, and heroes—including many we don't know about—were able to deliver.

If the animal can be moved and handled SAFELY, then please take them to the nearest vet or at least try and move the animal to a safe area, away from further injury.
Not all animal rescue groups are available all the time.
Just like you, they too have their personal lives to take care of. You can also call the local government to assist. it is their obligation to do so.

If you ask, "can I file a case against the driver of the vehicle?" yes, but it is important to remember that allowing your pet to roam freely without a leash, in public streets or outside your home even in the presence of the owner) is also a violation of RA9482 or The Anti Rabies Act.

To file a case:
1. Go to the barangay or police
Please note that these cases are handled by the barangay or police. If you wish to press chargers and you have witnesses who are willing to step forward or evidence such as CCTV footage, animal rescue organizations can only assist with the process.
2. Consult a private lawyer
Deliberately harming an animal is considered animal cruelty and is punishable by law. Even if accidental, the driver can be charged with reckless imprudence or gross negligence resulting to injury or death.

RESCUE

DOG RESCUED FROM UNDER THE BRIDGE NEAR CHINESE TEMPLE BY SRF R6 NEGROS OCCIDENTAL (BFP)

A dog was saved after being trapped for more than 24 hours under the bridge near Chinese Temple in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City. Reporter feared that the dog is in grave danger of being swept away by the river. We alerted Bfp Rsix Srf NegrosOccidental and they immediately rushed to the area to rescue a male dog who is still wearing a purple collar. The dog was quickly recovered after being reached by firefighters and brought to safety.

The dog is currently in the care in the care of the personnel of Lopez Jaena Fire Sub Station who rescued him. He was given water and food.

The firefighters who were able to retrieve the dog is looking for the owner of this dog.

If you are the owner of this dog, your dog is waiting for you to pick him up. Kindly proceed to BFP Station Lopez Jaena, at the back of the Public Cemetery, and show some proof like photos/videos before claiming your dog.

Animal Cruelty Victim

“BONNIE”

We have a resident who needs another incision or surgery. Bonnie was shot several times using either an airsoft gun or an airgun. No witness, but we only have hearsays. And hearsays cannot file a case.

After about 2 months, Bonnie's right face keeps ballooning, it was pricked, antibiotics once more, and then it still grows back. It contains blood. Sepsis is what we are afraid of. If we do not do anything, it might get worse.

Ang surgery na dapat gawin sa kanya, doon natin malalaman kung ano ang dahilan ng blood deposit. She had her surgery before at natanggal ang bullet na nakita sa xray. Makikita din sa bagong xray niya na may mga sharpnels na naiwan, but they are small pieces, and these sharpnels, malayo sa kung saan meron siyang swelling.

Yes, it's a mind boggling case right now. But we also know that Bonnie will not be going anywhere, and she will stay with us for some time unless a miracle comes her way, and she will be adopted. But for now, Bonnie, like our other cases, they need our attention.
